Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

purplegiraffe keep your chin up! No news IS good news and boot camp is all about issues that they need to work out and get resolved - that his how they grow up into men! Have faith, think happy thoughts and all will be good sister.

bvealellis:  YES!  There will be handsome sailors manning wheelchairs spread out over the base.  Just let one know that you need his/her services!

purplegiraffe:  Going on the No News is Good News theory saves alot of anxiety!  :-)  So try if you can!  I know...it is hard....I'm not one who was patient waiting for those letters either!

no mail here today, we are thursday mail too, but we are leaving for the beach till monday, so I will have to wait till then to see how he is doing.  He had a tough time with a situation-- last phone call, so please pray everything is better now.  I really want to read his letter tomorrow (From sunday writing) to see that everything was resolved, but have to wait till Monday!    my hubby says no news is good news, but i want to see it in writing.......

Good morning everyone! Do anyone know if there are wheelchairs at PIR. I will be 8 months pregnant and I won't be able to do alot of walking or sit on the bleachers for a long time. Having to be push around in a wheelchair will be awkward but it's for our little miracle on the way :).
