Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Comment by helenk on July 2, 2012 at 4:15pm: She did talk about all the pt they are doing too. She said she has a blister on her butt from all the situps. Said it won't heal and that it bleeds every time she does them. Also said they don't get much sleep between the short nights and the watches they do. Sometimes they are up for 24 hours. She is tougher than I am!

Comment by T's Mom (Ship 07 DIV 241) on July 2, 2012 at 3:42pm: I hope everyone is having a good day :) My son left for BC on June 12 hes in Ship 07 Div 241 does anyone have a son or daughter in this Div ? I got my 1st letter last week he said his Div is bunking with Ship 07 Div 242.

Happy Sunday, ladies! I'm back online now. We did lose our internet from the horrendous storm on Friday night. We were very lucky though because we did still keep our power and by God's grace, not one tree on our tree lined yard fell. I have a lot of relatives that still have no power and our temps here in Maryland have been in the high 90's. Yikes! My daughter and grandchildren spent the weekend at our house, since they had a flooded basement and no power. This storm was a "derecho" which is a devastating storm with straight line hurricane force winds. We had winds that were 90 mph. I'm so glad to be back online.
