@ Wadesmom, here is where I found a few questionnaires:  http://www.navyformoms.com/group/pir82010/forum/topics/recruit-ques...

there are questionnaires that I have found on the N4M site.  Random ones that we can send to our SRs to fill out and send back..if they want to.  They're kinda cool and you can tweak em or add to them too.  I just made sure the one I sent out didn't have anything in it to where it could offend anyone.

Comment by TimmothysMomSHIP03DIV246 on June 29, 2012 at 5:05pm

Oh no! I sent Timmothy an 8x10 envelope with some SASE's in it with a couple of letters I had written. I didn't even think that they may consider that a care package!! I hope he doesn't get into any trouble.

Ok,, Thanks for info about large envelope, but What is this questionnaire you all are talking about? I've definitely missed something!!
Comment by SailorMom92 (DIV 244) on June 29, 2012 at 2:36pm

The only larger SASE's would be used by him, that I send him, would be for the questionnaire because the questionnaire would be way to bulky for the smaller envelope.  I even tweaked some of the questions just in case they could be offensive to any others there..the RDC, other recruits, etc... thanks for the info :)

Yes, JakesMom:  You can send SASEs to them to use to mail letters home.  Although my son preferred the Navy stationery and didn't use the ones I sent him when he was there.  Just remember...any large envelope will have to be opened in front of the RDCs.  Not sure I would put the questionnaires in a larger envelope.  Some of the RDCs may not like them...some don't care either way.  Better to send this by regular sized mail.  You can send one per envelope.

I totally agree with FTLW.  Just best to keep any of the "negative" comments your SR may make to yourself.  It is a tough challenging 8 weeks for them and lots will happen.  Sooo....just share the general feeling of the letters and info about activities they may be doing at the time...and remember to consider that RDCs do read these boards (so only positive comments there please!) and your SRs need to work as a team...so no negative on here that may upset some...TEAMWORK!  They'll get there!

Comment by diannep on June 29, 2012 at 2:22pm

Ok, yes, you can send the larger envelope so they can mail back their letters (not enough space to store there).  Not a problem.

SASE is Self addressed stamped envelope

What is SASE?
