I don't know what the "Sarge's Meet & Greet" is.  And who is Sarge?

I agree Wades Mom.  I keep my tabs open on my computer to check periodically each day.

Here is a chart of the COC at RTC (Chain of Command):

Click to open in another page and zoom.

Here is the link to RTC website that explains all the RPO positions (Recruit Petty Officers):

http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/recruit_petty_officer.asp

Here is a pic of a Collar Device(I belive there are a different number of Chevrons depending on their postition) that the RPO's wear:

On the Chart RCPO(Recruit Chief Petty Officer) = ARPOC, RLPO(Recruit Lead Petty Officer = AROC

But it is too hard to yell... "RRRRCPO or RRRRLPO get your ________ in here"...So ARRRRRRPOOOC and ARRRRROC it is.

These positions are just for the duration of Boot Camp

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on June 26, 2012 at 7:03pm

Both...kind of. Brother Divisions are on the same Training Daysas they traing together and do BS21 together too.  So technically the "chance" to write receive timewise would be about the same. BUT... Each Division has their own set of RPO's -  Recruit Petty Officers. One of the COC (Chain of Command ) is the Mail Recruit Petty Officer for each Division. This PO must take a short course and pass a test to be able to handle the mail as the USPS is a Federal institution. So, no mail until this occurs...besides the sorting etc from the Post Office on base...and some have been known to "lose" the position...and a new MPO has to be selected, go through the trainingn etc. This can ocassionally cause a delay in the mail flow.

ellen, each division consists of about 80 recruits, right (ex: 243 & 244) so then there are 160 total for the brother div combined. I didn't know if they were 80 total or not

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on June 26, 2012 at 6:23pm

Brother Divisions are usually in the same Ship.

ellen is correct though...it goes by consecutive order and arrival.

Please see this Discussion for more info on Ship/Div. :-)

SHIP/DIVISIONS ~~ What are they and how do they fill them?

Has anyone gotten a call from their SR since arriving in GL on June 12? It's only been 2 weeks but just curious.

Congratulations on the finalizing of your Divisions...Woo-Hoo!
