Does anyone know a time to expect the I'm a sailor call? Or does it just depend? Just curious I don't want to miss it!

I hope everyone had a good day, we are heading to Wilmington to move our daughter into college. It will be late tonight when we get there so I will check in with everyone tomorrow. The good news is our Sailor is meeting us there. So we will get to spend the weekend with her as well. She is surprising her sister with a new bike so she won't have to walk to classes :-) Please keep us all in your prayers as we travel. Thanks so much, Lala

kupcakesmom:  This PIR group should be finishing up training week # 5.  In fact, the lower-numbered divisions are now into training week # 6.  This PIR group will start BattleStations towards the end of next week.  They should be getting their final tests done soon....final PFA (fitness) and final academic tests.  Once they pass those, BattleStations is their very final test (taken at end of training week # 6) and then they are sailors!  It is quite possible that you all won't hear from them now until the I'm a Sailor calls....although you never know!  It is totally up to their RDCs so hopefully some will call this weekend.

Since BattleStations are getting ready to start next week for this group, here is the info on them:

Uh oh, sheryloverall.  Yep, I know that feeling...my son was held back too back in 2009. He didn't report a shipmate when that guy had "fraternized" with a female and she wrote her phone number down.  My son knew this but didn't report him, so both that guy and my son got in trouble.  Not sure what happened to the "offender" but my son was told he was "asmoed" for two weeks intially (called me and gave me his new PIR date)....but thankfully, he ended up being delayed for only one week.  He entered his next PIR group/division and really buckled down....did great!

Knowing that your son will too!  Welcome to the group!

OMG< what a stressful week this has been. I finally feel like I can breath lol. I am so sorry I have not been here much this week. The first week of school has been so hectic. So glad tomorrow is Friday. I am going to try and catch up on all the posts now before I have to cook dinner. I hope you all have had a good week. I know you missed me lol.

Thank you diannep...I had read the same thing about the swim suit. This Sailor was in A School. My hotel doesn't have a swimming pool...I opted for a kitchen to cook for my Son...I did want to share that I rented a compact car for only $24.99 per day from Enterprise ...if anyone needs to rent. Enterprise's number is 847 360 8008..Navy Hugs to All!...we are almost there!

I bumped up the discussion above in the Forum for what to take to PIR.
