momplus: On the swimsuit, we have been told that they must be in their Navy-issued swimsuit on PIR Day if they swim at the hotel. That is considered in uniform. Not sure if that has changed, but that is what it has been in the past.
Now, maybe that sailor meant for those at GL A School, since they move over there after PIR. Then they are under A School rules which could be different. Since Sarge had a sailor in the car on Tuesday, my guess is that he is at the A School there. He wouldn't have had PIR people in the car on Tuesday.
Yay! Just two more weeks! I can hardly wait!!!:)
Nursecat...I too am so excited I have already started to pack....we need to start a list of things to take our SR....so far I have BOXERS, they miss them terriably! Lint Brush, Tide Pen, Lap Top, sunscreen..this is everything I have picked up on. On Tuesday, I had to call Sarge and he had a sailor in the car..I was able to talk to him and he mentioned IPod with ear buds, Swim suit and towel and deoderant too. Bring a towel for your son to sit on too. Did we find a Mom that has a SR graduating tomorrow? Our sons will be performing tomorrow as well as next friday as well as their own graduation. This is so exciting! Let me know...Thanks Navy Hugs!
The ladies from PIR 08/17 are busy today...heading to RTC! You are not too far behind them. Almost there!
Good Morning!
Got 3 letters from my SR yesterday!! He is doing great & passing all his test & inspections!
2 weeks from today we will be packing up the car & heading to Great Lakes!!! I cant wait, SOOOOO excited!
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
Our daughter sent our SR a picture of her cat dressed in a little sailor uniform. Her cat didn't like it too well, but our SR thought it was funny!
Running out of things to write about? How about a letter from their pet?
The letter to my Sailor from our cat was hilarious. Our cat is huge and needs to loose some weight and when our Sailor was home she was in charge of feeding him. She kept the bowl full all the time. I talked to the vet and had "special" food and was measuring out what he could have twice a day. The cat "Shadow" was not happy with his rations and kept going to my Sailors bedroom door begging for food. So the letter told her that since she left we have been starving him, that we don't understand his needs and she needs to get back here or at least talk some sense into us. He went on to say that he knew she was all grown up and needed to spread her wings like "Charlie" (our bird) but he couldn't understand why she left him behind with people who won’t take care of him and his needs. And, he knows how much she loves shoes but did she really need to go to camp in a foreign state just to get some boots? They do sell those at the mall right? lmao it was the funniest letter and she loved it hahaha
Anyone know if their kiddo/bf/hubby/ is the starboard watch section leader for 274?
