~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Comment by Stanley on August 30, 2013 at 8:50am
i just thinks its unfair to push them do close to pir leaving us parents to arrange work and travel plans they should all be done the sameweek the div com like all military peopleare salary and i am just very frustratedwith this policy

Stanley, I know of 340 & 339. I haven't seen the 900 div celebration yet, not sure about them! Yes, we have no room for error, so our nerves are a little more on edge I think! The parents this week can feel solid knowing that there is time, and that the info says that they will just redo & get through - we are still hoping that the final PFA goes well!!!!!!

Jae! Your SR will no doubt be in Battlestations with mine & the other push divisions!!! We are sitting back here, celebrating for others, but as one Mom so aptly put (& I would give credit, but I can't find the post!!!), we all feel like the last kid standing in the school gym when sides are being picked, "pick me!" So we COMPLETELY understand how hard it is to read all the excited posts!!!!!!! We are with you - and everyone who we are celebrating with right now, will be celebrating with us next week when we get calls!!! Your SR will pass, will be with ours through BS, & all will be good!

Wow... I didn't realize she has cut 4 minutes off her original time. In 8 weeks, that is fantastic effort!!! If she has pushed this hard, she won't let 7 seconds hold her back. Good luck!!!

Good Morning All !

I have heard that 4 more divisions went through last night (BattleStations) so phones close this afternoon for those in 335-338!

As far as moving someone into FIT, they don't do that usually until after they fail their 3rd PFA. and their division is ready to go through BattleStations...unless possibly there are some very unusual circumstances where a SR needs tons of extra help earlier.

Prayers all around for her, Jae....this happens in every PIR group, by the way, and it seems that most of them make their PIR!  So...hoping for wings on her feet!

Jae- Understanding the no news policy and having to deal with no news are too totally different things, this I know.  Stay strong and the rewards will be worth it.

I have been thinking about your SR all night and I hope she knows that cutting 4 minutes off her time is a huge accomplishment and she really is doing great.  It must have been really hard on her last night.  My thoughts and prays will continue to be with her until I see a post that she has completed BS.
