Morning Ladies.

Well a very Happy Birthday to our AJ. I'm sure she is doing it up right. =)

Nicole - Yum and cool. What are the stars and ribbon made out of? And the ring choices, OMG! Okay, I'm totally excited for you and scared at the same time. The mom in me is screaming, slow down, no hurry, long engagement. That probably has something to do with my own disaster of a first marriage. So I'm just going to stick with the OMG, I'm so excited for you. I'm sure you've heard all the negatives to getting married young. There are some people who actually make it and I certainly hope you and Gaige are it. I love a good love story and a happily ever after end. So all my good wishes are heading your way. Gorgeous rings for a beautiful young woman. Hugs and Happiness Sweetie!

Mary - Hope you are enjoying the rest of your son's visit and he's spending some quality time with you. And you are getting the respect you deserve from all of them. Hugs to you too.

Donna - Same thing. Hope everyone in your family is telling & showing you how important you are. Cause you are. Hugs, Hugs, Hugs...

Hurley - Hey! Hope you are feeling like a million bucks and enjoying your summer. Sorry your oldest had to move back to NY. It's hard to see them go no matter how good it is for them. Haley is hanging in there. Sounds like she is thinking about what we have talked about and hopefully end it with numb-nuts. She has said some of the things that were kind of cute to begin with are now bugging her and she's questioning his maturity. She still has a ways to go, but at least she's seeing some of it. Her friend got there and hopefully talked to her a bit. I haven't heard back from her friend yet, so don't know how that went. I'll keep you posted. =)

Shelly - Sooooooo.... nice to have you back. Great post about Navy Mom's. I totally understand about maxed out on computers. This weekend will actually be a welcomed break. I'm camping out for a derby tournament at the coast and will not have internet access - well limited at least. Lol...

I need to keep this quick. I have to take my hubby to pick up his truck from the mechanics. Had a squealing noise that needed fixing. Yeah, be impressed with my mad mechanical skills. Lol.... some serpentine bearing or something like that. Anyhow. Busy, busy, busy...getting prepped for that and then in 3 weeks off to Hawaii. Yay!!!  I will try to post more tomorrow. Not a ton happening but I think I could babble on for a little bit.

RSL and Hugs to you all. Love ya.

Aw, Nicole, they are both very nice. I love them both, lucky girl you! I love the cake too. You made it? Love the yellow ribbon.
Comment by nicole~a sailors girl(: on August 13, 2011 at 11:26pm

Here's the cake I made today!

Gaige gave me an option today, for those of you who i am friends with on facebook, if for any reason it would come up- dont mention it on there please, i have his sisters on there, and his mom doesnt want this coming up in discussion between gaige and i yet, however it has. even though he wont ask my dad until december, and wont ask me until february around our 1 year ish, he is still looking.

These are 2 engagement rings he looked at yesterday, and thought they were gorgeous, and asked me to pick the one I like most- so he has an idea of what I like. However, while he says hes going to pick something different, i kinda have a feeling he just wants to know exactly what i like, being that he looked at these to in the actual store supposidly yesterday.

these are the ones he asked me about

This one- which is 1,099.99

or This one-

which is

1389.99...

can you guess which one, without even looking at the price i picked? YEP! the 2nd one. haha.

Aw Mrs B, sorry about the nosies on FB. Seems you can't keep anything secret on ther. My brother just went through an ugly divorce and he deleted all his friends who were friends with his ex. Seemed to work. He even deleted his son but after it's all said and done he re-friended everyone again. Hope it works out for you. Don't forget to post pictures here of TJ, we don't want to miss him growing up. I'm so happy you're feeling good with this pregnancy. That will be so nice to have your little one in the water. Keep us posted.

Mary, is D sick? Or just exhausted from all the school work. Hope he enjoys his time home. Congratulations to him on his high scores!

Mrs. B- You really don't pick up 5 gallons of milk at one time, do? Usually they come on vouchers that you can pick up throughout the month. That's what my daughters did. Glad to hear that you are feeling well through this pregnancy. Sorry about all the drama going on in your life.
Comment by Mrs.B_Div 302_Ship9 on August 12, 2011 at 8:19pm

Hi Ladies!

Iris! So sad to hear about Haley.... I will keep all of you in my prayers. Paul said that most people that get caught with underage drinking get Captains Mast and sometimes cut in pay for 3 months. I hope that doesn't happen to her!!! :(   I was just on the Naval Base today doing some business stuff for Paul to get his VA benefits and was in the NCIS office....they're tough people to work with! Not the "NCIS, Gibs, Ziva and Abbey" we know in the shows. LOL.

Hurley- I can't imagine being empty nested... LOL... I don't even wanna think about it.  I love my little man and the new "bean" (as I call it right now, until we now the gender.) ...can't imagine my life without them right now.

Well, my pregnancy is rolling right along... I'm 6 1/2 weeks now. I always find out really early....I thought I was like 9 weeks along but mustve miscalculated it. Anyways... there is a birthing center here in San Diego with CNM's, so I'm going to have my baby there. They offer water birth, so I'm really excited about that. Maybe the pain won't be so intense. :)   Not that the pain scares me...it really doesn't, it's just unpleasant to say the least.

TJ is getting really big. We picked up his WIC today and got me on WIC...they gave me 5 gallons of milk...what on earth am I supposed to do with 5 gallons of milk?!!!! I don't drink that much milk. My fridge looks like a milk factory now.

Paul is doing well at Fry's. His leg that got hurt on the ship gave out on him the other day...he fell down another row of stairs...he's bruised and sore, but ok.  I'm frustrated that he doesn't have feeling in part of his leg, but there's nothing they can do about it, the docs say. They said it was major nerve damage and that it won't ever heal.

Well, I think this page will become my FB for a while. Paul's family has caused me SO much grief on FB that I can't handle their lies and drama anymore. I've blocked them, deleted them and made sure all their friends weren't my friends. But somehow they're still finding out things I say on FB and giving me grief over it. Can you believe anyone would have a problem with me saying something like, "I love my husband...he made me dinner!." ??? Well, they do. They say, "Our family just doesn't say things like that about each other on FB...that's too personal." One family member went so far as to say I shouldn't be sharing our "sexual" life on FB....OMG...really? Saying I love Paul is NOT going that far... LOL. So I'm done...through. I can't deal with them. So I'm leaving FB for a while. I don't know how long. Just to get some peace and rest...then maybe I'll go back and see if the drama starts up again. I don't know who the snoop is, but I'm tired of it all.

I hope everyone is doing well....sorry if I missed someones specific comment. I'm feeling kinda puny right now,....been gone all day and only have eaten 2 bananas and 1 tortilla. I think I'll drink some milk...LOL.

Blessings~

Well, my oldest left this morning to live back in Oswego NY to be with his fiancee. Her job prospects here are slim and they are both sad away from each other so he moved back. At least his job he got her is letting him transfere up there. Ugh, I'm an empty nester again.

Hey Mary, how's your boy doing with all that pizza? So nice you have him home! Can't wait to hear all the antics at your resort while he's home!

Oh iris, this is so much stress for you and H. I hope and pray it turns out ok. She's a good girl and doesn't deserve anything harsh. Just such a hard lesson learned.

shelly! Where are you!

I am so happy for A Donna! Yay! Dry land! How exciting for her. Very cool. Can't wait until you hear from her about her adventures.

AJ, have great time with family!
Comment by Donna-Amanda's mom on August 12, 2011 at 1:10pm
Iris, Oh my. Is this something H decided to do or did someone hear of it and it was mandatory. Bad news to have to talk to NCIS but they will want to stop this behavior before it escalates. Too much of that already in the military. Sadly, they will probably all be in trouble. J could get kicked out, H &F could lose privileges. I have heard of some being demoted. Not saying they will but from what I have read from others there will be reprecussions. Hope H comes out ok but don't want to say what I hope for F&J.lol Maybe it will work out in our favor.lol  So sorry this is happening to her and you. So stressful!

Morning Ladies...

Nicole... the graphics are great! Thanks for sharing those with us.

Mary - butter on a stick. Ewwww..... I'd stick with the cinnamon roll. Saw a skit about that on John Stewart where he dipped a raw stick of butter in some mayo and ate it. Repulsive but funny. Have fun with your son. =)

Hurley - Haley can't have a hot plate either. The funny thing is this rule was in effect when my husband was in the Marine Corp 20+ years ago and they all had hidden hot plates. You can't eat only microwaved crap and not feel the effects. Hope he's able to work out soon and the heat subsides a bit.

Shelly? Oh Shelly....... =)

Donna - Oh I hope you get to skype soon. Land!!!!  Woo Hoo. I'm sure they really appreciate it after being out to sea so long. I can't even imagine what that is like.

Well, I got a short but welcomed text from Haley. She wants to skype Sunday. Her friend Kayla, arrived Wednesday and was trying to get in contact with her on Thursday. I hope they hooked up. She said she was doing well. So that is good and I can't wait to chat with her on Sunday. She had to talk to NCIS about what happened. I'm wondering what punishment she will get for drinking underage and what's going to happen to the guy that assaulted her. I don't know who supplied the alcohol, but Fred is 21 so they may look at him. Maybe that's just wishful thinking. How on earth am I going to pull off being nice to this guy?

Anyhow, my sister Charity is coming up for the weekend. She'll be here later today and then go up to my sister Rose's to go school shopping. Later Saturday night we are all meeting up to take in a double header Roller Derby bout. Sunday I'm taking my nephew and Cody to a mall to do more shopping. They will leave Monday.

I had an interview at my old work (Ray's Food Place) yesterday but I don't think I'll be going back. I told them I could only work till 4:30 pm M - F cause of Derby. The hours for the position (Customer Service Manager) involve some pm's. Oh well... I haven't heard "No" but I'm not holding my breath.

Next weekend I'm off to Coos Bay (southern Oregon Coast) for a derby tournament. I'm attending some clinics while my bout girls participate in the tournament part. Ought to be so much fun. I'm driving. I'll have Cruel Ann Unusual, her daughter and daughter's boyfriend, Ophelia Muff Krush, and Natural DisASSter.

Well I need to get a few things tidied up before my company arrives. Have a fabulous weekend everyone.

Hugs and RSL's!!!!

Nicole- Loved the graphics. Totally cracked up laughing.

Mary- Congrats on D getting to come home. You are going to have so much fun. Tell him we are all PROUD of his hard work as we are all the other sailors.

AJ- Have lots of fun at the beach with family.

Iris- Must be busy with your roller derby. Anything else about H and F?

Hurley- Hope the weather changes soon for your son so he can start to workout again. Too bad he's not stationed in Wa cause he would have no problem. Think they forgot summer here this year.

Shelly- WHERE ARE YOU!!!! Been a long time since we have heard from you.

Hope all are well. My daughter arrivede in Hong Kong for a visit finally. Been soooo long since they have seen land. Hoping to skype with her while she is there. New boyfriend, so probably not.
