Good Morning Ladies... Well I'm on the juice and feeling sluggish. Blah!!! The plug is pulled on Wednesday and then it's just one more time. Can't wait to be done with this. Really sucks hind tit.
So the saga with Cody's car continues. He drained his transmission fluid cause it was too full and refilled it properly. That fixed the shifting problem and now it's scheduled for an alignment on Wednesday. If that goes well, he'll be back up and running without having to buy a new car. Crazy...
I need to work on getting my Christmas decor down and the house back to normal. I suppose I'll start that later this week.
So how are all you coping with you sailors going home. Hope you had a wonderful time together. I'm looking forward still to Haley being home in a few more weeks. I'll know more when she graduates and gets her tickets. Can't wait, can't wait..... =)
I guess I'll keep this short. The site has gone very quiet over the New Year. I look forward to hearing all about it.
Hugs and have a great day today.
hope everyone is having a great new year! my sailor is flying back to GL as i type. when does the "good-byes" start getting easier? ugh!
love the pics iris! looks like you had a lot of fun!
Nicole, sorry about your dad.... hope he gets to doing better soon!
talk to you all soon!
happy new year!!
loved the pictures iris!!
Lol....Mary, your funny!
Morning Ladies.
Wow, I'm just so happy right now. First my father behaved and we had the best family get together with friend that we've had in a very long time. 21 people in my house at one time. What a crowd and we had a lot of fun together.
Haley and Travis were on skype too. Although we didn't have a great connection. I didn't keep them long so that they could go have their New Years fun. Travis got verbal orders to Hawaii. Haley looked very happy. We couldn't talk too much cause my dad was sitting right there, so had to keep things "general". =) Anyhow, it was a great way to end the year.
Now I only have 19 more days till I'm completely done with chemo. Waaahoooo! I hope everyone is starting off 2011 with joy and happiness.
Nicole - So sorry to hear about your dad. Hope he heals quickly. Car hunting huh! Cody is too. We finished installing all the parts we saw broken and got the breaks back up to snuff, and found that the transmission is messed up. It would cost him another $300 just to have it looked at. So he's scraping the car and trying to sell the new wheels and looking for a new car too. He really only needs something economical for the next 2 years and then he can sell it if he goes into the Corp. Hope you have good luck finding a car that is sound and cute!
DO - so nice to hear from you. Stop being such a stranger. We all love hearing how everyone else is doing? Even if you think it's boring. Lol....
Anyone hear from AJ? Hope everything is alright.
Okay, so after my parents left, the rest of us got a little crazy with the picture taking. He is an example. and .....
Well as you can see, I have a lot of fun. That is my brother-in-law Chris and he's a doll. We have fun together. The blond spanking me is my sister Rose and my cousin Natalie is in front of me. We are a wild bunch and believe it or not, no alcohol was involved. Can you imagine what it would be like if we were drunk? Lol....
Happy New Year my friends.
Iris- oh of course:p
just relaxing & car hunting! and working out..ewww:P just kidding..im actually starting to like it!
not doing all that much though..
my dad..the genious he is..decided the weight of the snow on the garage was too much & that he ought to climb up on a ladder & brush it off..sounds pretty logical..right? not. the ladder slipped he fell, landed on his feet & his leg slipped out, he broke his hip..had surgery..3 screws in his hip, he works construction...so he will be out awhile. he was in the hospital 1 night..when he shoulda been there 2 or 3..got sick of it and demand that they discharge him....................oh the wonders of my family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't die of shock, I just had to say hello. Enjoying every minute here with my sailor. Don't have a problem w/ him spending time w/ others, cause if he goes I go too. I'm not sure how that's goin to work today though, he is going w/ the girls. I just invite all the guys to spend the night. It's been working out fine. (Not going to do that with the girls)
The pets are toooo cute! Happy New Year everyone! My sailor goes back New Years Day:(, But:) he's still here now.
Good Morning Ladies.
Dyl's Mom - Yogi - LOVE IT! Hey Boo Boo..... Lol.... Love the idea about naming his Jesus. I can see you guys doing that. Ha haha ha..... So glad you are having a nice time with your son home. =)
Nicole - So what's up? You are young and active, so I know you are doing something. Lol..... Spill! =)
Hope everyone has a fantastic New Year. Today my oldest sister, her two kids and my mom will arrive in town. Tomorrow my cousin, other sister, Dad and friend will arrive. Just to clear things up, my mom and dad are still together, just with the snow storm that was due in today, my mom freaked out and needed to come up early, so my dad is being driven up by the bookkeeper/friend. Let the drama begin. If only I could have a drink. Lol.... I think I told you my Dad is very pessimistic and loves to suck the joy out of EVERYTHING! My mom is a nervous wreck and worrier, so between the two, they tend to stress me out. Check this out, thursday night my sisters and I are taking the folks to dinner and then we are having a "family meeting" to discuss the will. There is nothing more that my dad loves to talk about than death. He's just disappointed I'm not being a victim with my cancer. Seriously! He just sent me a book "the Emperor of all Maladies, a cancer story" Because I'm happy and handling this in a positive manner, he thought I needed a book to tell me how I should really be behaving. If you can't tell, my sisters and I have issues with my father. =P
My poor husband and son are dreading this party. I can't say I'm too optimistic that all will go well, but I'm gonna try. My dad keeps saying this is the last get together. He's been dying for all my life and now that he's really gotten himself into a real pickle, he's playing it for all it's worth. He's 5'10", 410 lbs, with a 60 inch waist. He's a non compliant diabetic and refuses to do anything to make his life better. So.... it's hard to have any sympathy for him at this point.
Sorry guys to unload all this on you. I'll move on, I can rant about that subject FOREVER!
Anyhow, I'll try to check in but I'm assuming things are going to be pretty busy. I'll give you all the full rundown after they leave (January 1st).
Happy New Year to you all! Getting closer to seeing my kid, so life is great!!!
Love ya!
Hi everyone! Hope everyone had a great Christmas! My little pup is keeping me on my toes! i forgot they like to get up every 2 hours except during the day when they want to sleep all the time. Just like a real baby! We decided to name him Yogi....since he looks like a little bear and he looks a little like Yoda with the ears and all...... he's already becoming a stinker! So the running joke was that i should name him Jesus so i could go running down the street asking people "have you seen Jesus? He's about 8 inches tall and has brown fur.... or, the "Jesus! Quit crapping on the rug!" yes, definitely had our fun with that one!
Dylan is staying busy with friends still. He's been gone most everynight with friends. He had laundry to do today so when i got home i noticed he had folded the clothes in the dryer (so he could dry his)......WOW! I almost fainted! ha!
Glad to see a few on the site over the holiday! I check in again around the new year. I can't believe it's been 109 days since PIR. sometimes it seems like it was just yesterday.
Oh....and one more thing. Thanks for the gift ladies...... you know..... you're gift of friendship! That's something money can't buy and i really do appreciate each and everyone of you! It's so nice to have somewhere to go where people understand what you're going through. We have a awesome group of people!
(should we all start singing the "Cheers" theme song.....where everybody knows your name.....and they're always glad you came......). I think i'll quit while i'm a head. lol!
