PUPPY!!  Oh my Dyl - he is so freaking cute!  Corgis are lovely dogs and make me smile every time I see one.  Congratulations on the new addition!   Our last dog we adopted was called "girl dog" for nearly a week before we came up with the perfect name for her.  Take your time and pick one you won't be embarrassed shouting up and down your street.  And one that's good for nicknames...our's ended up being Willa...which rapidly became Willa-beast, Wilbur, and several times...Willa-Dammit. :-)

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas!

Morning Ladies... sorry I've been AWOL... this kitten is a hoot. She is very wound up right now and being downright naughty. I'm scolded her (kindly) for playing with my tree and now she's attacking my cables on my computer. we have lots of toys for her to play with, but that would be being a good kitty. Lol... She is so much fun. She is still scared silly of all the other animals, so we are trying to gently introduce her. Most of the other cats and dog could careless about her. So it's just getting her to get over her fear and then we can all be one big happy family being ambushed by Audrey. lol......

OMG Dyl's Mom - He/She is soooooooo.... cute. How about Murphy? I like odd names. What's his/her personality like? You could always go with Humphrey, Madeline, Chester, Maxine/Max, Bogart, just go take a peak at the baby names list and see if anything fits. So freaking cute. Just a warning, if you pick the wrong name first, likely it will still stick. My son is insisting on the cats name being Audrey. My husband likes Eva. So I'm calling her Audrey Eva. Hah! Problem solved. =) Oh and next time you should have your lovely face in the photo. =)

So we got all excited and opened our gifts last night. Last year we did it a week early. We are so bad. I do not have patience and well, the other two were pretty easy to convince. The problem starts with me getting bored near Christmas time and wanting them to see what I bought them. They were very pleased with my purchases. I got a custom made pair of converse from my son. Fuchsia, purple, green plaid, with the heel label reading "with love" and graffiti on the inside. Soooooo.... cool. I love them. My son did very well. My lovely husband got me a Roomba. It's a robot that sweeps your floor. Can't wait to get it up and running cause the living room floor is now covered in glitter and smutz. I love sparkly stuff so get obnoxiously glittered wrapping paper. So pretty. My husband and son are not as into it as I am. =)

Lyn - sounds like a fabulous adventure. Glad you are enjoying it. I have a cousin who lives somewhere in Australia. She also thinks it's great. So glad you have some company to play with. Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas at the wrong time of year for you guys. =)

AJ - So happy you heard from Aaron and get to have him home before deploying. What a fabulous Christmas present. Sounds like he's really enjoying his experience so far. It's nice to know that they are happy, huh!? Hope you are feeling better. How's everything going? Hope you have a really fabulous Christmas (whenever that may be). Hugs!!!

Well I chatted with Haley this morning and yesterday and will do so again tomorrow morning. She is bored with stand down. She has duty on Christmas Eve, so at least that will be something to do. She's heading to the Mall today, but she's kind of broke, so has to keep it to window shopping. Lol....  She looks great and more rested now that she isn't stressing out over her mods. Not too many more to go and then we'll find out when she flies home. We still have all her Christmas gifts here waiting for her. I'm not sure how long the Christmas decor with remain, cause that's a pet peeve of my husbands. He want's it down my New Year. Probably  be a little while after that cause I have treatment on the 3rd.

Well I should get a move on. Lots to do for our Christmas party Sunday. =) Merry Christmas to you all.... Hugs and Love! =)

while a have a few mins of peace and quite, just want to tell everyone i hope that you have a wonderful christmas!  my hubby surprised me night before last with the cutest puppy i'd ever seen!  i'm in love!!  i cried when i saw him under the tree because 1) i was so surprised and 2) brings back the sadness of losing my jinjer this summer.  it's all good though....hard to be sad when you're looking into the puppy's face!  ha!   still need a name though.....  any ideas would be great!

I hope this pic downloads ok.....  he's a welsh corgi.  and yes, he has puppy breath!  ugh!   i have a feeling i'm going to have a ball with my pup and my son!  yeah!  talk to you all soon!  thinking and praying for each and everyone of you.

Oh lordy Lyn! That's quite the adventure you have going!:) ENJOY IT:D

Comment by LynB on December 22, 2010 at 11:24pm

Awww....baby kitties are the best :-)  Aubrey is darling Iris!  The hot chocolate saga cracks me up too.  And AJ - glad you enjoyed that Pinot!!

Successfully got my daughter and her young man on Sunday and we've been going  full blast since.  Tour of town (and the obligatory wild kangaroo viewing) on Monday in a most unseasonable drizzle.  It doesn't rain for months on end and then the kids arrive and voila!  Tuesday we went up to the Swan Valley wine region and sampled beers, wine, and chocolate and had lunch, then went into town in the evening and found an Indonesian restaurant and watched the Living Nativity which was great...ballarinas, a chorus, and live chickens!

Yesterday we went sailing and then had a real Aussie bbq - which basically means everyone brings their own meat and a dish.  Today I've sent them out to catch the train into town and see the museums while I make grocery lists.  I'm in charge of pumpkin and pecan pie and potato and orzo salads for Christmas day.  Still slightly surreal about having Christmas in the summer time.  We are no where near any snow ever here in Perth...and we were one of the few places in the world that didn't get the lunar eclipse earlier this week. My daughter is somewhat bitter about that.  It was a glorious balmy evening with a full moon shining over the river, but no eclipse.

You asked why we're in Oz Nicole?  My husband works for an offshore drilling company that has rigs working in Australia and Asia.  We were transferred here from Houston 2 years ago.  It's a lovely adventure and we hope to stay as long as they'll let us :-)  Though I admit I'm having WAAAAY more fun than he is...I got to quit my job and he's just having to work much harder.  He left Sunday at midnight for a business trip to Indonesia and got back at about 2AM this morning...the poor guy is pooped.

So technical difficulty! My Skype quit working! I can't log in and if I can't log in I can't see my sailor on Christmas.  I'm thinking I'll need to uninstall it and then re-install it.  *pout*

Glad to hear everyone's good news!  Merry Christmas one and all!

omg!  now i want a kitty!  how cute is she?!!!  just wanna pick her up and give her tons of kisses!  ok....gotta calm myself down.... ha!    i really need to get another pet.  the house is so quiet with out my jinjer here.

AJ,  so glad you get to see Aaron so soon!  that's awesome!

Hurley, what is the deal with the docs?

Comment by AJ on December 21, 2010 at 6:24pm

Oh, I forgot.  Yes Hurley, he did get a bit sick at the beginning ... but they gave him some meds that helped and then it was a problem after that.  So maybe just at the beginning while they are adjusting to the movement.  I remember one time that I went sailing for about 10 days .... then the opposite is true .... it took some time to get my 'land legs' back.  So, here's to swift sea legs for all!
