While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

On the Fourth Day of Christmas my truelove gave to me ......... Four Calling Birds .....

You guys will just need to stop me ..... no more AJ please! We get it! She's out of control this one ........
Thought we were going to get some snow here last night .... lots in the mountains ... and still none down here .... and I am not complaining ... no not at all.
Only news bulletin from here this morning is that I am now going away for Christmas. What a relief! The guy I've mentioned is flying up from Costa Rica to meet up with his son and grandchildren (yup, he has grandchildren and is older than me by 12 years) .... so his 7 year old granddaughter and 9 year old grandson are headed to DisneyWorld for their first time ..... I will pop down and we will be in Orlando for a week. So I will transfer my mommy withdrawals and stocking stuffers and all the giggles and glee to these unsuspecting little ones. Look out kids ..... the wild woman cometh. (They love me so it is all cool). So, this brings me to you Hurley. Where are you? All I remember is southern Florida. I know that Haley is pretty far away in Pensacola, or I would most likely be making my way to give that girl a huge Christmas hug from her momma. Wouldn't that be cool?!
I have to start practicing now ........ 'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house .......' on dear ..... here she goes again ............

Happy Birthday Nicole!!! :) 16th year is a sweet one! :) Ahhh, to be your age again! LOL...life was so simple back then...haha.
Well, we are leaving the Great Mistakes tomorrow...haha.. (my cousin who is a submariner in the Navy calls it that). I am picking up my hubby from the USS Preble tomorrow in the morning! Can't wait! Then we'll drive off that base and NEVER see it again...YAY! We head for Texas, pick up all our stuff, then we rolllll out for sunny California! :)

Oh, I don't know if anyoe remembered me talking about my girl friends son going to Army BC while ours were in Navy BC and how he got to keep his cell phone and all, well he graduated today! The Army's BC is so long! I can't wait to see him! He's home for 2 weeks then off to Texas. I think he is an MP... like Matt but for the Army.

Have fun with the time you get and like Mary said, you have a great attitude ..... might as well enjoy the journey ... so much time to figure it all out.
Iris ..... I am sooooooo hoping that Haley's Marine gets stationed in Hawaii too ..... we need no broken hearts here ....... we want our girl to be happy as she is learning to soar even higher.
