Morning Ladies... Lol.. the case of the missing marshmellows. Love it!

Nicole - I'm outraged, disappointed and ready to storm the coco factory with you. Are you writing the company? They might make it right. Here you were all ready for a frothy, creamy, cup of coco goodness with marshmallow's on the top and BAM! - denied. Not right, I say. Not right. =)

AJ - I'm so relieved you got your Peppermint Mocha Latte. Yes, Starbuck's makes a bit of coffee goodness this time of year that just soothes the sole and makes the day just a little brighter. And we would never kick you off this site. You are entitled, nay, guaranteed to pour out your woes to us and we will gladly cheer you up. Cause, face it, we all are living life with it's crazy ups and downs. So my sister sailor mom, smile, cry, laugh, bitch and moan, and we will still be here for you. Hugs and love! Yes, Christmas this year is going to be when we hold our sailors in our arms again. =)

Haley was so pooped yesterday I didn't have the heart to keep her online for very long. She is still working hard on her mods. Apparently there are 5 that are just a real bitch. She hopes to be done during the Christmas break. I got to see her briefly cause our connection was horrible and is made better by cutting the video, and told her I loved her and that she needed to get some rest. I believe she took my advice and went to bed early. So no real news here to report. She did say "Two Thumbs Down for "Due Date". She said it was really dumb.

The son update, is we got the wrong axle and will be heading back to the junk yard today to get the right one. Hopefully then we can reassemble the car and he can have his ride back.

Have a great Monday one and all and Ho Ho Ho Ho... Feliz Navitad and to all a good week! Hugs, still soggy. =)

I know! I'm outraged at this! It's a fiasco!

Comment by nicole~a sailors girl(: on December 12, 2010 at 7:23pm

It was absolutely TERRIBLE. NOT ONE MARSHMELLOW. NOT EVEN NOT COLORED ones. NONE!

Comment by AJ on December 12, 2010 at 7:15pm

Nicole ... that is tragedy and disappointment and non-color all stirred up into one unsatisfying cup of cocoa.  I am so sorry.

Comment by nicole~a sailors girl(: on December 12, 2010 at 6:54pm

So...I think I should let all of you in on my let down for today..

I bought hot chocolate at HyVee a few weeks ago..on the front it said "now with COLORED mini-marshmellows"! So I got SUPER excited, and got it. Today I made a cup of it......NO MARSHMELLOWS. NOT ONLY WERE THERE NOT COLORED ONES. THERE WERE NONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Warm Sunday morning greetings to you all! and 13 days until Christmas.  So hard to believe.  We would have done our tree yesterday if Christmas was anything close to normal this year.  We always got 10 feet tall trees for our great room - one of many of my favorite things for Christmas.  Feeling kind of nostalgic for Christmas's past this weekend.  No tree this year for what must be the first time in my life.  I may scrap around and find one of those Charlie Brown kind of Christmas trees for myself .... you remember that cartoon that plays every year?  No, Aaron won't be home for Christmas this year ... but we will celebrate whenever it is that he gets to come home again.  You, me, we can all count on that.  Christmas in May, August, whenever.

Iris - I went to see the movie 127 Hours which is a true story about a young man who was hiking, climbing around Blue John Canyon in Moab, Utah and fell into a crevice with a boulder pinning his hand/arm against the rock wall .... and his incredible experience of trying to free himself, reviewing his life and recording video for his family (who are from Colorado) ... and his girlfriend ..... and one of those human survival stories.  He ended up needing to cut off his own arm to free himself and live.  I know it sounds gruesome, but it was an amazing story told .... and I almost lost it in the movie when he told his mom on video that he wished he had returned every one of her phone calls.

If I didn't say this yesterday, your Sailor has to submit the Family Information Form in order to be allowed onto the distribution list for e-mail updates.  I do not know if the same is true for shore duty -- good question.  I cannot ask to place myself on the list because I might be an extreme terrorist and not a mother seeking any kind of information I might be able to get!  I get it, but it doesn't feel good.  The form has to be requested by him and sent to his Navy e-mail address, which he has said he would do, but has not yet done.  He is communicating so much less than I am used to .... so yes, you just might need to kick some hiney for me!  And if you feel like hugging him after you kick his hiney, that's okay too.

I'm going to go out for a bit of a walk and some Colorado Vitamin D.

Enjoy your shopping, baking, planning, gift-wrapping, carol playing, nerf gun ambushing, pool ice-skating, room finalizations for returning Sailors .... and most of all .... enjoy those whom you love today!

Aj - that should of read " I probably wouldn't kick his hiney...."  =)))

Morning Ladies. Happy Sunday!

Mary - Lol... my husband brought nerf guns home a week or so ago for us to have some fun. It was fun and he and my son ambush each other now and again, so it continues. =) Enjoy them, they are a blast.

AJ - Glad you got to see a movie. Which one did you see? Thanks for the information on the Family Information Form. Does that include shore duty? Way ahead of you..... ha ha hah....hah....  we'd have to get up pretty darn early to do that. Yes, it's great Haley is so good about chatting with me. I think she is just being kind and grins and bears it when she'd rather be on Facebook or just nerping on her computer. But I'll take it and I do try to give her as many outs. Do I need to kick Aaron's hiney for you? Not once? Does he call much? I don't think boys understand the withdrawals us momma's go through. They need to ween us off gently not cold turkey. Well, you know I probably would kick his hiney but hug him instead. Can't stay mad at these kids. I can't remember who is getting their kids for the holiday's , but here is hoping you have him for a good week or two. Hugs, hope you are on the mend.

Well, I skype with Haley again at 1500 so until then, not much is going on. Cody and his Dad are going to start putting his car back together. We got the parts day before yesterday and so they are hoping it will all go smoothly. I need to get and look up how to install an axle for them, so hugs to you all and hope the Christmas Spirit is in all of your hearts this holiday season.
