Hurley -- how proud you must be!  It was hard work to earn that I am sure -- so glad that you posted a picture.  Yay for Matt!

Mary -- you and your son are an absolute stitch -- it isn't hard to see where he got his great sense of humor from.  Cracker Jack wedding rings and The Bride is Right (Price is Right) to gain a stove.  You must be getting so super excited.  How many days until he comes home?  And for how many days?  You've probably said, but I've forgotten.

I went to see a matinee of 127 Hours (movie).  Wow -- incredible story.  Luckily it didn't make me feel like puking -- but was amazing.  We humans are capable of such much when it is called upon us to do so.

I wrote the Ombudsman for Aaron's ship and they can't add me to the family news distribution without his permission.  So, when your Sailor gets to their posts, have them fill out the Family Information Form as soon as they can to get that ball rolling.  You guys are probably way ahead of me and know all of this stuff.  I'm learning as I go and hope that I'm not missing important stuff.

So glad you got to talk with Haley (sorry, I think I've been misspelling her name).  It is so cool that she gets on Skype so much.  Aaron has not shown up once!  Have fun with your party planning and shopping.

Ciao and Cheers!

Morning Ladies! Hope your weekend is going well.

I just chatted with Haley again. Man, I love skype. I told her I'm her cyber stalker. Everytime she is on, I swoop in for a chat. Luckily she likes to chat with me, at least that is what she tells me. =)

Lyn - Yahoo!!!!  So happy for you and your son. About freakin' time. I bet that just makes you feel so much better. And the possiblity you'll see him, wow, so wonderful. =) Doing the happy white girl dance for you.

Mary - Lol!!! You and your son kill me. I'd warn him about proposing to every girl he see's. Someone might say yes, and then well... ackward! =) Lol....

Hurley - Very cool!!!! Love it and congrats!

Nicole - you are too funny. I wouldn't of thought of the candy machine rings. Classy!!!!  Lol......

So Haley's inspection went well and she's all good now. She's had a long ass week. Only 8 hours of sleep since Monday. Needless to say she has a open sore on the back of her throat and I told her to go see medical and get some sleep. She said, thank god I'm young. I remember those days. Sigh!!!  Anyhow, I'm her medical nazi now, after looking at our ancestors problems (Colon Cancer, Thyroid Cancer, Obesity, Heart problems..... I'm sure there are more) , but DANG, we do not come from hearty stalk. The only thing we have going is that we live till 90 ish. Crazy! Anyhow, I don't want her to get down sick and postpone her getting her stuff done. Selfish of me. =(

Anyhow, I need to go shower and start shopping for stuff for one of the two Christmas Parties I'm having.

Love and Hugs to you all. =)

WOOT! CONGRATS HURLEY!

Mary - GOTTA LOVE THOSE GLASS TOPS!!! HAHAA. I laughed SO hard at the "i'm just gonna go propose to every girl i see until someone says yes!" I get this imagery in my mind of him walking down the street and every girl he sees getting on one knee and poppin that little box open. hahaha.

Ok, you can't read it but on top it says POLICE and just under it is the initials N.S.B. ( don't know for sure but I think that stands for Navy Submarine Base?) Then on the bottom it says KINGS BAY and then under that GA. Thought you all would like to see what Matt worked so hard for so far.

Oh how great that is LynB, what a wonderful thing for him to be so close to you!!! I am praying for that for you.

Mary so funny about the stove. He is just so attatched to his momma's cooking! That boy loves his food! No wonder he is so tall and smart, he feeds his brain as well as his body! Sucks about the inspections though.

Oh Iris, sucks too about Haley failing her inspection for that. When Matt was in "A" school his room mate was a slob and Matt kept on him to clean it up. Finally the guy got it together and did.

MrsB I just love the pictures of your sweet little family. So cute. The baby is getting so big!

AJ, wow that would be great to get to see his ship. Such an honor to be able to go. Have you heard from him yet?

Corrie and Nicole, I wish you all the luck. It will work out.

All the best to Dereck today and next week for these important exams.  Pressure I know, but he sounds really smart and has good grades .... so hopefully it will be just the agony of exams and nothing more.  Go Dereck!

LynB ...... that is the best news that someone has finally taken your son's situation seriously ... and will give him the attention and resolution that he so deserves.  Thank you CCC ..... sounds like she likes a good challenge.  I am very happy for him, and you, that he is seeing some sign of positivity from the Navy.  I'm not sure which news is best ..... that they are clearing things up for him ....... or ............ that he may get to Australia next year.  That is awesome and I can definitely feel your excitement at the possibility.  Doing that happy dance with you!

Comment by LynB on December 9, 2010 at 9:48pm

MrsB - love the photo. :-)

Iris - yay for unplugged!!  That's excellent news!  But boo about Hayley's inspection.

AJ - hope you can get some relief and very happy to hear that y'all are getting some good news for Aaron.

I wanted to share that we also finally got some good news for Alex after all the silliness.  He actually got his ASVAB and college paperwork from Nashville and he got more than expected in reimbursement for his travel expenses moving to CA.

AND...he met with a Senior Chief Career Counselor who was most encouraging.  She told him "he is by far her most difficult case" in terms of the screw ups that have happened but they set 3 goals. 1) get promoted to E4, 2) Get accepted to OCS 3) ensure he is eligible to re-enlist next Jan when his first term is up.

And lastly - he volunteered to go on a humanitarian mission that might also bring him to Australia sometime next spring!

*doing the happy dance*   We have hope at last!

So beautiful Mrs.B:)

Iris - Soooo sorry that Haley got in trouble...:(

I hope she doesn't go to hard on herself, too much stress could make things worse!!

I hope she gets to see Travis before he leaves!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mary - Dereck too?! Man, they just hammer down!!!

AJ - That's awesome, if you go...POST PICTURES:D
