I just had to log back on to pay tribute to the whimsical creation of the Astro Wienee Tree .... now that is funny and fun! Is that something between Roseanne Barr and Martha Stewart?

What are you doing up so early Nicole! You defy teenager sleep late syndrome! I read a posting from Iris on Facebook yesterday that said she wasn't going to be home until January, so there must have been a shift or disappointment yesterday ..... unless my brain is messing with me. I'll keep my fingers, toes, arms and legs all crossed for Iris that I have it incorrect!

Good morning all .... I have so much to respond to with all your postings .... and will try to get to it later today. I am having a full day of neurological brain evaluations today .... this after a recent MRI and more. I'm pretty nervous about it and ask for some extra good thoughts today. And while I don't have time for the individual responses, I am sending love and light to all the weariness, United frustrations and tears, frozen pool falling in experiences, tests and stresses in our Sailors, general Moms and saying goodbye, post vacation glowing (ok, not so much for you Nicole (just joking!)), disappointments about holidays (just read yesterday Iris that H doesn't get to be home now for Christmas .... so sorry about that) ...... and all the rest that is going on with everyone. Love and hugs to you all until later ..........................

Mrs. B- We've missed you around. If you need to vent, vent away:)
We understand that you're stressed, sometimes venting helps. I hope you get settled and comfy before we start needing to shovel feet of snow off our sidewalks!! Enjoy the new place with baby TJ and Hubby:)

Quick update... Paul finished BECC and is in Strand School now...he will be done in 8 days (school days). So we should be in CA in about 3 weeks. I'm really stressed out right now and don't have much positive to say, so that is why I'm not on here. I don't want to be negative, so I have chosen to follow my mom's favorite phrase: If it's not positive and will lift someone up, don't talk at all.

Blessing to you all...

Okay, the general is gone (my mom). I am sad. Today is her 88th birthday. Telling your mom goodbye is a lot like telling our sailors goodbye. Somewhere in the back of your mind you wonder if it will be your last hug. It was so nice to see all these wonderful postings when I felt so empty.

Astro wiennies, really Iris?! Classic! No holiday should be w/out one. You made me smile.

Boys in the freezing pool, now that's funny!!! He's a Navy man in training.

Lyn, what on earth?

Cruise pictures in the winter-Calgon take me away......
It looked like you just had the best time ever! Hope the memories keep you warm all winter.

Mrs. B I agree w/ everyone. Don't you quit! You WILL overcome if you don't quit!! You are in our prayers. You'll like San Diego. I grew up in CA. Beach, mountains, wine country, or Mexico. Take your pick, it's all right there...don't forget Catalina Island. T.J. will like the zoo, one of the best in the world! I think it's free for military. There is always something to look forward to. Trust me, I've had to live that this last year. Find the joy in the littlest of things.

Okay, so my sailor has already signed up for 2 more years. He loves San D. His roommate has moved on so he's in his own room w/ all the electronics, fridge stocked w/ soft drinks and everyone in the dorm hangs out there. He doesn't even lock the door. It made it easy that he wasn't sad about Thanksgiving. He said, "Mom you always told me to make your own fun where ever you are, when you would drag me on those shopping trips". Go figure, he listened. All his friends still come to the house, and he's not even here. He's started a new group on the west coast.

Speaking of shopping, yes I did black Friday- best buy, Khol's $75 work boots
doorbuster price 19.95 then marked down again, final cost 10.57. I love to bag a bargain! Won't shop again for weeks.....

Good Morning Ladies!

Mary - too freakin' funny. Poor kid, at least he wasn't hurt. Lol.. .Thanks for the laugh. I can't believe we are this close to having our kids home on leave. High five, knuckles, boob bump. Yeah baby!

Lyn - What up? That is just crazy. Poor guy. Not the best way to start out his time with the Navy. I hope he is doing alright and isn't too discouraged. And who was the moron who asked if he spelled his name correctly? Lol.. that one is really special. I hope it all works out for him. Hugs to you for being so strong.

Hurley - Yes, I'm finally back. I was reading but couldn't respond and that was very frustrating. But it's all good now. H. is studying her butt off. She and Travis are buckling down this week so they won't see each other until this weekend. I'm kind of sad for them cause when she leaves for Hawaii, there is a good chance that's it. I wonder if they will ever wonder if they had had more time how things might of turned out. A little depressing. But, as we all know, such is life. They may try the long distance thing for a while till they learn where he's going to be stationed. I have my own mini-soap opera here. As the Military Turns. Lol....

Nicole - That's great. Are we looking at Hawaii vacations at the same time. Whoo Hoo... I know you just can't wait to be standing next to a 40+ year old woman in a bikini. I know that I'm looking forward to standing next to a beautiful, sexy, firm, smooth, cute young lady, while I'm in my bikini. Yeah, that's my dream. =) Lol.... thanks for the good vibes for Haley. You rock!!!!!

Not much happened since I last posted. Oh wait.... I have something you all need to see. Some of you already know about the Astro-Weenie Christmas Tree. It's a must do for this holiday season. =)
