Hello ladies, sorry I haven't been on but time fly's when your Sailor is home! So many friends coming and going. Matt's packing thing he thinks he'll need to bring with him. He'll leave on Friday morning. We'll try to go up on the 2 weeks my husbands company shuts down but Matt may be able to come home for Christmas eve and Day. His brothers been to MEPS yesterday morning. Guess they need to clear up stuff from the Coast Guard and change it over to the Navy. Hopefully he will get in, it's really getting hard to get in right now. I'll keep you all posted on that one!

Iris, such a cute picture with your daughter and her new guy. WOW so handsome! She really looks happy too. I also love the pictures with the jogging suits. I hope you all bought them! So comfy... love that!

Well, I'll talk later or sso, sorry, Matt just came in and handed me his dixie cup. Guess it needs to be washed before friday and he's freaking out because I guess when they washed them in BC they turn yellow at first so they have to be washed a few times. His original got ruined at "A" school...hmmmm ok

Morning Ladies....

Good news! Cody's car may be salvageable. He's very happy about that and so am I. My to do list has doubled with his to do list. Lol...

Dyl's Mom - nothing to add? You just did and it's wonderful. Follow my lead, rambling is okay. Lol.... =) Thanks for the comment about my daughter and her Marine. They are having fun and enjoying their time together (yes they seem very young and I suppose we were that young once too). =)

We are sitting at just under 5 weeks before we see our darling's home (those who get them for the holiday break). Can't wait. I so miss some more estrogen in this house. Cody is having a friend stay with us Thursday - Saturday as his house is being remodeled. So that's 3 men vs. one female. They better leave the seat down or else there will be hell to pay. =)

DO - Thanks for the well wishes. The hardest part for me is the waiting to find out. Once I know, well, I make a plan and dig in. I've never been very successful at waiting. Lol....

Hi AJ, PatsproudMom, Mary... everyone must be busy. The holiday's are coming up, so I guess time is tight. Don't be strangers....

Well, I do have to keep this short. I have a list like Gina's (teaparty) today. I already took my son to school, got laundry started and now have to go bake some cookies to send to Susan for the USS Rodney M Davis. Don't want those sailors to think we don't love them. Wish I could be on the hug line, but such is life. I'm making white chocolate butterscotch cookies. Mmmm..... double or triple batch, so there are some leftovers. =) Gonna have to hid my stash cause 3 boys in the house will certainly deplete it. Lol.... After that I have to pick up Cody from school, go to my oncology apt at 1530 then come home, pick up my car at Cody's work and go get his friends lizard (he's also staying with us), then take his friend David back to his house. Oh I also need to throw in the Roast at 1330 and turn it off to slow roast for 2 1/2 hours. Then make the green beans and gravy and we have some rolls. Comfort food. So that is my day. Thursday isn't much better.

At least I'm not bored. =)

Well, I should go check the laundry and get showered. Then tackle my list.

Have a FABULOUS day today my friends.

Hi everyone! sorry i haven't posted for awhile. i do come in a read, get a few smiles and love to read every little bit but seems like i never feel like i have much to add. someday i'll have a story....ha! i don't have any pics (love the pics Iris...especially of your daughter and her handsome Marine...way cool!)
were we ever that young? ha! my prayers are with you Iris..
Nicole, my youngest is the same age (sophomore) as you and Mary's dtr but he's not concerned with his future at all. is that a guy thing? seems like my boys were always "i'll do it later" and then there was always the big push at the end because they were never doing what they were supposed to when they were supposed to. many stressful years getting the first two graduated....one to go.... ugh! that's what graduates mom's into the "gray hair" club! ha!

Iris you are brave and strong. You will make it! What a wonderful distraction to have a play date. You were especially on my heart this morning on the way to work, so I said a special prayer for you.

I liked your date line Nicole. It's so cool that you hang in here with us old ladies.

Morning Ladies... well finally something interesting happened last night. My 16 year old son wrecked his car (it looks like it's a goner), he's fine and the nice police man actually let him off the hook for a $400 being stupid ticket. He was burning off his nice new tires and lost control and hit the curb. Well that tore his right front wheel off. I got the call about 9:30 last night and was out there getting it towed back and talking to the nice police man till 11:30. Then my mind wouldn't shut down till around 1:30 this morning. I am now up at 6 after being up around 4 am to take a warm bath. I got chilled while being out in the rain doing all the tow truck stuff. So my neuropathy was giving me hell. Anyhow, I am a very sympathetic mom cause I wrecked 3 cars by the time I was 18. You'd of thought my dad would of stopped letting me drive. Cody is now saving up for a new car and his insurance in May. I am his taxi for now. Thus the blurry eyed 6 am wake up this morning. I gotta got throw some clothes on. I'm just thankful his stupidity didn't harm him. =) Hey, am I now officially part of the grey hairs club?

Have a great day and I'll try to post more later.

Mary - yes, if they had those we'd of been all over it. Lol....

AJ - You are so sweet. I'm honored we've had this opportunity to meet and get to know each other. You too have my hugs, love, smiles, and laughter.
Comment by AJ on November 15, 2010 at 12:30pm
Good morning! Patsproudmom - yup, sorry about that - I've not posted much the last few days as I adjust to Aaron's absence - we are supposed to lift each other up, right - I'm not supposed to make you cry. It was kind of raw and definitely from the heart, but I'll do better.

Now that Iris, however. Does she ever make me smile. I love the way you live life - and this photo of your retirement outfits is just fabulous - I love that it you did it and that you took a picture of it and that you share it with us. What fun! And dear heart I send you loads of love, hugs, strength and laughter to turn all things suspicious into nothingness. Continued sunshine, rainbows, butterflies, and magic and dragonflies and fireflies and flowers and hearts and lush green hills to roll down with childlike glee!

yeah, I know, don't hate. We rocked them! Gotta love the anti-theft tags too. Who steals these? That's what I want to know.

Hope you are all having a great Monday.

I heard back from my Oncologist and they found something suspicious on the ultra sound, so more tests! Wee....Taking life just one day at a time and living it baby!!!!!

Okay.. laugh for the day. This is, from left to right, my cousin Natalie, myself and my sister Rose at the mall yesterday. My cousin had a dream we would all be living together in a retirement home wearing maroon/purple leisure suits. When I saw these on the rack, I knew we had to live the dream. Lol... great day with my girls.

yea you go to HM Hospitial Medic School which is very stress full but then you can go off to C school and I am pretty sure that they have Physical Therapists.
Comment by nicole~a sailors girl(: on November 14, 2010 at 3:17pm
I am 99.99% positive they do have physical therapists in the navy.

I think the reason sophomores are wanting to leave is because it's half way through, and in the back of our minds we know that the more work we put in, the better off we'll be!!! I am taking a summer school course as well!
