Finally have a photo of Haley and Travis. This was at the Marine Ball. The romance continues. I just love this. I'm so happy to see her really happy.

Gotta keep it short, but knew you were all waiting for a picture.

Hi ladies-
I don't usually talk much on here, just read what you guys have to say. I did notice that a lot of you are talking about your sailors coming home for the holidays or sometime before/after. I was browsing the website for my husband's current base and I came across some information for Christmas Exodus. If your son/daughter/husband/wife goes into the ITT building on base they can get discounted airfare through them as well as transportation to and from the airport. They also have discounts for dependents, so if they are bringing home friends or family they too can get a cheap ticket. Hope this helps someone out there!

P.S.-You women are all so very strong and you inspire me, thank you!

Good Morning ladies...

Dyl's Mom - you are too funny. Yes I'm super jealous of Nicole and her Cruise too and really hope it is better than the one on TV. Wouldn't that just be a bummer? Lol... funny though if it's not you. =O And H.does take after me. She is very upbeat and tries to find the good in everything. Shoot, I did name her after Haley Mills in Polly Anna so she's kind of obligated to find the "glad" in everything. =) It's not the fat you should worry about in your diet, it's the sugar, especially high fructose corn syrup. Eliminate just the HFC first and watch the results. Pretty amazing how bad that stuff is for you. Good Luck, but I'm sure you are just perfect the way you are. =)

Mary - I'm sure you don't need a fat sucker either. Love yourself just as you are, cause I bet that's perfect. Keep us posted on the dogs and cats and the tree. I have literally anchored our tree to the wall in two places because we have 6 cats and one of them will usually find something worthy of an attack on the tree. I now keep them locked out of the living room. I play Bing Crosby and Burl Ives for my Christmas music. Love that stuff. I have to laugh at your description of you basement. I too have a boy who's bedroom walls are a bit worse for wear from a dart board, knife throwing, etc... He also carves and yo yo's and those aren't much better. Putty queen to the rescue!!!! Hope your apt. went well and you feel better soon.

Well I must go shower and get ready for my ultra sound. Wish me luck they don't find any tumors or spots. That would really harsh my mellow. =)

Have a great day today everyone and keep writing. I love to hear what everyone is doing.

Till next time....... Have a Happy, Happy, Happy day...

Thanks Nicole for depressing me! j/k!! hope you have a super time on the cruise! it sounds like so much fun! you sure you can't stow me away in one of your bags! ha!
Iris...glad H gets so excited over things! she must be alot like her mom! always upbeat and willing to lend a nice word or two. Hope your days go better....i can't imagine coffee without cream! omg! that's like a pbj without j!
i do need to do the fat free thing though! i hate diets! ugh! i've been eating those lean cuisines.....for crying out loud! some of them were horrible! i should have microwaved the box and ate IT! yuck! anyone know where i can get a fat sucker outer? hee hee

mary, dyl's gets out of a school in Feb but if they send him on to C school he won't get to come home until that's completed. i figure if that's the case, it could be close to a year before he gets a ship. so it sounds like i might not see him for awhile once he goes back after xmas break. boooooo! so maybe you can come decorate my house? wouldn't that be fun! i'll turn on the old elvis xmas album and we'll drink some hot toddies and who knows what the house will look like! heck....after that, who will care! hee hee!

Good Morning ladies...

AJ - Oh man, I just can't tell you how much your story about your sailor, touched my heart. I was tearing up something fierce. You poor, poor thing. Wish I could of been there to give you a hug and find some silver lining. He is a handsome young man and I know you are so proud of him. So now I'm thinking, this is how I'm gonna feel when I see my girl off. Oh goody! The chemo right now is making me a blubbering mess. It's Veteran's day and I'm tearing up over everything. Must make sure I drink lots of fluid so I'm not dehydrated. Lol.... Don't sweat it over the pie incident. I'm sure they knew it was your sadness about your son leaving that made you upset. Dang, now I want pumpkin pie. Hugs to you my friend. {{{HUGS}}}

Mary - yes, I need my sunshine, lollipops and rainbow mantra sometimes. It keeps me from demanding the "happy pills". I didn't know it was also on "Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs". I guess I need to rent that now. =) I'm trying to be patient with Christmas decor. My husband is sensitive to allowing Thanksgiving have it's chance before Christmas rears it ugly head. He hates the commercialism, not the Holiday. I have to agree that it's sad to see Christmas stuff in the stores as early as October. Crazy....

Hurley - Awww... that's tough. Another one. I still have two more years before I have to go through that hell again. And the Marine Corp is not as nice as the Navy. I won't be getting calls, just letters. We will be here for you. Mamma doesn't have to let go, just loosen up a little. =) Hang in there, we'll be there for you.

Mrs. B - Haley has Christmas off only because it's part of her two weeks leave before she reports to her duty station. Hang in there and make the best of these frustrating situations. Hugs hon!!!!

Nicole - Ah my little firecracker. Busy is good, keeps you out of trouble... lol... just kidding. Just trying to lighten your day up, it's tough dealing with family stuff. I have a parent that is just really miserable to be around. My dad sucks the joy out of any situation. That is probably why I'm so upbeat. I have to counter the ho hum attack. Enjoy your cruise and be determined not to let anyone take the smile off your face. I expect a full report when you get back. I'll be sitting here freezing my ass off and you'll be enjoying the sunshine in the Bahamas. Somehow I'm not seeing that as being fair. Lol... =) Have a great time and I hope your family situation mellows out.

Well, Haley called yesterday all excited. Apparently she was in the elevator and Master Chief Petty Officer (#5 from the top) entered and talked with her and shook her hand. She then ran to tell her friend M. and they waited by the elevator till he came down and they chatted some more. Both of these girls were totally star struck. She kept saying he was really nice and wasn't a jerk. Lol.... She say's she has "bragging rights" now. Lol... Anyhow, that made her day and it was great hearing her spazz out over the phone.

Well, I'm on a lovely fat free diet today. Ugh!! I need to go to the store cause we don't have anything I can eat and I'm hungry. What a ride all this has been. I get fruits and veggies today. Nothing with fat which rules out meat, butter, creamer for my coffee... yes I'm still holding a grudge on that one.. oh whine! Okay, since it's a beautiful foggy, cold day, I should just gut it up and smile. Cheese! That's what my adorable son use to say when he was 18 months. You couldn't take a camera out near him without him saying "cheeeeese". Lol... ah good memories.

Well, I really don't have a lot today. I need to get showered so I can find some delicious fat free meals for myself today. Oh, don't hate ladies, you too can go flavor free if you want too...lol...

Hugs and smiles to one and all.
