You know I understand exactly where you are coming from AJ. Hopefully he'll just get to hang out in a decent hotel room and get to know San Diego for the next week or two. That wouldn't be a bad gig!

Also Iris - very much hoping for good test results for you.

LynB - so glad you are on right now. I thought of you immediately with all that your son has encountered. Sighing is about all one can do from home - and I know you know that story well. I best get my sea legs under me!

AJ - trust me, I am shaking my head in befuddlement WITH you, not at you.

*sigh* Sounds like he's entered my kid's alternate Navy universe.

Lovely ladies - get this - A's orders said to report to the Boxer today - he has arrived in San Diego to find that he can't report because the ship isn't even there and won't be for two to three weeks. He is surprised, disappointed, and doesn't have a clue what is going on. He is at a hotel. Kinda strange, isn't it?

I'll be back on tomorrow to read and comment on the latest postings.

Hi all, well last night while watching FB with the boys Matt got a call from the recruiter wanting my son Marc to go back to the recruiter and then they will take him to spend the night and go to MEPS in the morning. Well Marc went but came home and went to work because he didn't have his marriage lisence and needed it for MEPS. So, it looks like he may go now on monday. He seems all gung ho about the Navy. I'm happy for him and so is his wife but Ugggg, to go through it all again. Just hope he gets based close too (mommy needs to let go, mommy needs to let go!)

Aw AJ ((((HUGS)))) I am sure you ha a hard time saying goodbye, I will also and my kid wis only going to be a few hours away. Like Iris said, we will be here for you. : ))

Mommyhunt, oh what great pictures!!! she looks so happy and confident in herself. What a great adventure in her life. Proud!

Wow Iris, H is going to school for 12 hours a day? That's some long classes! Guess she really cherishes her time off then. Iris, please don't get too into the test you had. Sometimes they can give false readings, right? I know it's easy for me to say, I am not in your shoes, but please remain positive. You seem to me a very positive person, all you've been through and you still come on here and are so upbeat, like I've said to you before, you are my hero... I don't thik I have half your strength.I will be praying for you. A special prayer. I would hug you for real if I could but for now here is a ((((BIG HUG))))

Patsproud Mom - So cool your kiddo is loving CT. NY sounds fantastic. I am envious of his getting to go to the Macy's Parade. I've only seen it on TV and had to suffer through the commentary. Maybe this year I'll mute it and play Christmas music. =)

Hurley - Oh man, I don't look forward to that either if my son decides on the Marine's. We will still be with you hear, helping you through it. Hugs and try not to anticipate too much. =)

AJ - {{{{{HUGS}}}}} That has to be heart breaking. So sorry sweety. We love you and won't be going anywhere, so pour out your sadness here and we will pick you up. Hang in there sunshine!

MommyHunt - too cute on the pics. Glad she is doing well. Love her smile. That must warm your heart. Maybe she can talk to my daughter about pictures. Still nothing and I've been promised (due to her long days studying) that I will have Halloween & Marine Ball pics. I'm not holding my breath, but it would be nice. Lol....

Not much more to report. As you all know she had a blast, both thought the other one was hot, lol, and they are going to spend Thursday (Veteran's Day) together. She is going to class 12 hours a day, as is Travis (CTR - something to do with communications), so the weekends are just about the only time they can see each other.

I got some disturbing news today. My oncologist said my liver enzyme has suddenly jumped up and that he want me to go in for a CT Scan to make sure we don't have something else (metastasis) going on. I'm scared, but trying to not worry. I've been off my Oxalaplatin for two chemo treatments which we expected to see it elevate my liver enzymes, so this is something else. Anyhow, I will keep you all posted as best I can. Doc said he'd call me with the results or talk to me at our next apt which will be the 17th.

gotta go get showered case they call and have an opening today.

Hugs to all and have a great day.

Hey everyone, well it's been great with Matt home. Today he went to the recruiter's to help earn back his 5 days of leave. He was so handsome in his Peanut Butters with his badge on. It really looked great seeing him wear a badge again and he is really excited about it. I asked if he could arrest the recruiter...hehe, he said no. I said well, what if he was doing something really really bad? He said, oh Mother...hehehe. His brother Marc (shot gun wedding Marc) Also went to the recruiter. He is getting tired with the Coast Gaurd. Also they only want him for reserve and Marc wants full time now. He also wants to be an MA like his older bro... that came out of no where! Marc did go to EMT school and was going to be a fireman but I never in life though he would be a cop! He's having his wife sign papers today and has to go to the recruiter tomorrow, MEPS probably next week. Being he is already processed they said he will not DEP long. Winter in GL...BRRRRRRRRR! Sorry, Marc's never in his 25 years of life even saw snow so you can imagine the shock! Guess I will be a part of another PIR here soon. A letter a day, kid int the box, BS!!!!!! Oh my, hope my nerves can handle all this again.

Proudmom, so cool your son likes it up in Groton CT. I love the TG parade. Only problem is I am always cooking during it! But hey, it's all good. I am so amazed how brilliant all our sailors are. Such responsible jobs. Subs? wow.

Congratulations Nicole on DEPPING!

Hi all, just a quicky before treatment. Haley wasn't able to skype last night but called with a quick message that "it was great". She has pics and promised me they'd be on her computer tonight. She said he looked so handsome in his dress blues and that he thought she look really beautiful. Ahhhh..... gotta love new relationship romance. Anyhow, I'll have more tonight and if I feel up to it, I won't keep you waiting. Have a great Monday everyone!

Nicole - Wow! Aren't you just getting down to business. Congrats on your first DEP meeting, you will make a great Sailor. I'm glad you and C. are able to maintain your friendship. Not many can say that they are able to do that, so that shows what a generous person you are. =) Keep studying! Hugs...

Adios for now and I will chat with you all soon.....

Oh my! So much going on!!!
I've been off because we've had ALOOOOT of family issues, and things are starting to hit the fan, so i've been job hunting so i can help with some of the
financial parts of it.
I went to my first DEP meeting the 4th, and it went REALLY well!!!
I'll be attending them from here on out!
School is going good. Studying my butt off for all the tests, and all my
"navy knowledge":)
C is supposed to come home again the 20th!! the day I leave for my cruise !
He's been coming home every weekend that he has rides, so we still
hangout. Are not together anymore though, just good, good friends. Infact, he's my best friend. That would be a better term!!:)
Looks like everyone is doing pretty good!!!
Talk to you all soon:)
