Hi all. Wow AJ your son graduated and is coming home soon! yeah! I bet you can't wait to get your arms around him. It was so nice you went up to GL to visit. I looks like we probably won't make Matt's graduation. It's a pinning where they pin his badge on him, most have their fellow sailors do the pinning. The airfare jumped to almost 1000$ and he comes home the next day so I think we will just have a big coming home party instead. He told us not to waste the money for it and he'll see us in less than 2 weeks. Yeah!

Yeah, I read that about that sub base allowing women now on the subs. Gina (teaparty) lives there and she sent me the article. She offered to look after my sailor, that is so great. I feel like he already has family there. N4M family!

OMG Iris, I only have boys and I can remeber when they first went out on a date. Ggg, I don't think I could handle a girl but she is excited and he sounds nice. I hope you're doing well with Cemo and all. I do think about you with that often.

Hi Mary, Hi Shelly (Dyl'sMom). ; ))

Good morning! I just got off the phone with A, who took his final exam today. He passed and he has already graduated. Sounds like it was pretty uneventful (and there were no pictures) ..... he is happy and finished in Great Lakes (except for all of that paperwork to process out of there and into San Diego). Congratulations A! Hoo Yah!

Iris - Go H! Go H! So we have a bonus Halloween Dance in here before the Marine Ball? That kind of makes up for the other lost dance. I love young romance. Ahhhhhhhh (sweet sigh). You rock as a mom Iris!

Hi Mary!

Morning - gotta make it quick but HAD to share. Remember I mentioned, at least I hope I did, that H. was going to have a blind date for the Marine ball. Well apparently they met earlier and it went well cause I got to meet him yesterday on Skype. =) He's 6', H. is 5'4", hes a Marine, 20 years old and from Texas. He's a cutey too and H. said that "It's official, we are going out". Lol... This will be her first boyfriend. I'm so excited for her. I being mom had to ask how things were progressing and she said slow. Yay, so he seems to be a real gentleman. They will be going to the Halloween dance next weekend and T. (the boyfriend) said he'd make sure they got a picture of them together for me. That's the way to score points with Mom. =) Lol... anyhow, need to get ready for chemo but was too excited not to share.

Happy Monday one and all and Hey AJ! What up'. Lol....

Hi Iris! Yay for Skype! Yay for a call with H at 1600! Haven't had a Hoo Yah around here for a while .... so Hoo Yah for your call!

How cool of you to post the info about Michael. I will get a card out to him tomorrow. I agree with you completely ... if he is asking .... he needs the encouragement.

Date night .... sleeping in ..... sounds like a good weekend! Sending you all the best for tomorrow's treatment and for your strength to stay strong!

Hurley - great to see you here again and Congratulations to Matt for Kings Bay, GA. I just read this week that Kings Bay is one of two locations that are now allowing female officer assignments to serve on 4 subs, two there and two in Bangor, WA. Progressive!

Looking forward to A coming home late next week! Another Hoo Yah for that!

Here's to everyone else for a fabulous Sunday!

Morning Ladies.

I happen to be on Facebook and saw that our very own Gina (teaparty) makes some very cool stuff. Sweet Pea Design. So I'm including a link to that page. I especially like the ribbon wreaths. Gina does not know I'm doing this, but thought, hey we are here to support each other and you never know if someone might see something they just have to have from her site. =)

Other than that, I will be Skyping with H. today at 1600. Yay!!! Monday is chemo day, so I don't know if I'll be back on that day. The doc did take me off one of my chemicals because it's proving to be too much for me right now, but I suspect if all goes well I'll be back on it the following treatment. I have mixed emotions cause I want to kill all the bad cells so I want what it takes, but on the other hand it will be a nice break if I feel better this next time. Anyhoo... that's the update, pretty much same o, same o.

Hope you are all having a great weekend. Slept in again today. That is what crappy, wet, gray weather will do to you. Hibernation mode is on. Lol...

Well, I hope you all get a chance to check in and see that I'm sending you Hugs from Orygun. =))))

Hi Hurley! So nice to hear about your Sailor. Congrats on his orders to GA. Don't be a stranger, we miss you. =)

Sorry Ladies, didn't make it here this morning. Slept in with the hubby then started nerping around doing stuff. Raining cats and dogs here. Boo... thus starts the rainy season for the next 7 - 8 months. Must move to sunshine....

So on MAS group there is a Marine recruit who is asking for mail and encouragement. I thought who better to give it to him than my ladies from PIR 9/10. Here is his information - he's only their till December 17th.

Sweas, Michael R
1st RTBN Charlie Co., Platoon #1046
40002 Midway Ave.
San Diego, Ca 92140-5550

I figure if they ask, they are really needing the support. =)

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Hugs and I'll try to not be such a slacker tomorrow. =)

Hi all, sorry I haven't been on this site in a long time. I hope all is well with everyone and their Sailors. Just wanted to tell you all Matt got his orders. He will be based at Kings Bay, Ga. He is very happy to have this because it's only 5 hours from home. He can't wait to do some fishing up there. Believe it or not he will be graduating from "A" school in 2 weeks in San Antonio, TX. Oh, and he is running 5 miles with no problems! No brown candle for him this time!

Maureen, Robert looks great and I am happy to hear he is doing well.

Iris, I wish the best of wishes and hope you are feeling well.

LynB, so happy for your son with his orders and also you too AJ. My nephew is a Doctor and based in San Diego, who knows maybe he will see them at one time and not even know our guys know eachother.

Mary...oh Mary...hehe
