Good morning my friends. I discovered this song/video written and performed by Julia Fordham and Paul Reiser. It really touched me and I thought you might appreciate it too. The song is called 'Unsung Hero' and make sure that you see the video as well as hear the audio. We've been doing a lot of 'singing' for our personal heroes here and this makes the ripple so much bigger and stronger.

Morning Friends !!

Hope that this finds you all doing good. Im sorry that I have been missing in action. Life gets in the way sometimes ( Imagine that)..Are you all getting back to a more " normal " life ? ..D is doing really well with being over on the A school side of GL's. He starts his schooling this Thursday. He has been making new friends and hanging out with old friends from boot camp. Going to Gurnee Mills Mall, the exchange, working out and also doing all his responsible duties, like keeping room very clean, washing and folding clothes just right ( for room inspections) and even went and got one of his A school books early, so he seems to be on the ball ( Ok what happened to my son lol)......I get to talk or text with him everyday and as you all know , THAT alone makes it all easier. Im very proud of him .
Its so exciting to read about your sailors and what they are up to. I hope that you will continue to keep us up to date. Im also proud of all your sailors in choosing this career path, getting through BC, and going on to learn their trades. In this day of our economy ( dont get me started) they made a great choice.
Take care all, will check in more often, I promise. Hugs to all.

Yeah, I know Sondra, promises, promises. But no matter what, signing bonus or not he is still going to look into the Navy if all falls through with the CG. They are keeping him on hold and all and not with DEP just hold.

Wow LynB, guess your son has been through the ringer with all this. He was probably more prepared than most going into BC atleast. I know how illness can effect ones ability to move forward. Funny you got a letter just now from so long ago. That would be kindaa fun to read being he is finished and all.
