Good morning! I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Sounds like many of the kids are officially starting A school this week. Greg has a big test today because they apparently have one more student than places in the school so they are saying the bottom scorer is getting put on hold. I'm wondering if it is just a tool to motivate them as it seems a rather unorganized thing to do but we'll see.

He sent me a picture of the lasagna party they had on Saturday and said it was the most "home cooked" meal he'd had yet and that it was good but he misses home cooking. He also mentioned that a group of them are planning a trip to DC next weekend and he is very excited about that. It sounds like they have a lot of free time and are really enjoying it.

He made a funny comment about this being the first time he's felt like he really has control of his life. I thought that was interesteing and encouraging that he views it like that rather than seeing it as very restricitng, which after living with friends and not working for a year and doing whatever he wanted, I was afraid this would be a shock to his system but he seems to be "getting it" just fine.

Anyone planning visits to A school coming up?

Okay ladies, I just read 3 pages and I'm sorry I haven't been on all week hardly, but it's been busy! I am directing a wedding coming up, co-hosting & catering a baby shower for a friend's daughter, my daughter's childhood friend from our first church is getting married and we're doing all the shower rounds with them, and it's football season and since son is gone NAVY and daughter was in Atlanta for a conference for Christian college students, I spent time with hubby watchin' some football. Oh yeah, we also had the Shrimp & Grits festival on Jekyll Island and the guy who beat Bobby Flay on Throwdown was there! I do a morning e-mail for about 175 ladies in GA, SC, FL, NC, TN, MI, NV, and Brazil and NY now, too so if you'd like to receive my "Thought for the Day" e-mail the easiest way is to send me your e-mail address in a private message and I'll add you! Otherwise, I'll be checking back in!

Be encouraged today that Christ is here; be encouraged today that no weapon formed against you can prosper; be encouraged today that Jesus has all power and that He is with you!
