Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Awesome Michellep! My brother in law took my son and I think a couple of new buddies out for a big crab feast and said that my sailor has a nice spring in his step and is standing a bit taller than when he last saw him. Very cool.

yes you can take cell phone and laptop. Just make sure the bag for the laptop is plain black. Congratulations to your sailor and I promise it gets better from here on. Where is he going. My son graduated 2 weeks ago and is in Pensacola.

That is so kind of you Michelle...I know how hard this must have been for y'all but you'll be there before you know it! I am sitting here at midnight in Australia watching this all unfold through the magic of my brother in laws (officially best uncle ever) blackberry. He scheduled a business meeting in Chicago so he could be there for my son in my absence for which I will be forever grateful. I'm excited and happy, but so wishing I was there as well!
