Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Nicole - I just checked and I never sent GM a friend request -- 'my bad' as my son would have said before -- but I bet those words are gone from his vocabulary! I'm not sure how to get her my number now. I could get it to you though if you are still up.

Hello all. Just got back from driving a 3 hour round trip to pick up my older son for our flight to Chicago tomorrow morning. Sorry that I haven't been here tonight --- but, I am here now -- praying for 307, 308 and 819 -- candle lit -- and ready to hear about all of your calls tomorrow.
A big Amen! to Tea's prayer for tonight's divisions -- and I am all for her offering a prayer of our thankfulness tomorrow night at the M&G.
I was going to respond to you GM Storm mom before I left that I would text you tomorrow with news but it sounds like Nicole has you covered. Sweet of you Nicole to do that! And if anyone needs a backup let me know.

Thank you, Tea, for the prayer for battle stations for our final divisions...mine being 819! We also appreciate all of you who haven't abandoned those of us who are left, biting our nails, hoping to receive our calls before we actually arrive in Great Lakes tomorrow!
I am going to call my mother-in-law right now & share the prayer with her. I know she needs the peace & assurance that it will provide as she tries not to worry about what her grandson has gotten himself into now!

Safe Travel, everyone. And don't forget to do the "drive by" the Recruit Command on Thurs and know that your new sailor is safe and sound within those walls....only to be in your arms the very next day! It is truly a wonderful feeling! We even drove around the side of it....my older son thought I was nuts...but too bad!
