For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by GM MSRON mom on September 8, 2010 at 6:11pm: It just dawned on me AJ, It is my understanding that they can not repeat BS for 48 hours. Which is why I think they should just not do them after Tuesday! At least give them all an opportunity to fix it. We have 3 div's tomorrow!

Comment by Tobianne on September 8, 2010 at 6:06pm: My understanding is that if "he/she" passed BS-21, yes they are still in BC. However they can not be set back. He should go see medical. He has pretty much finished everything... maybe diannep will jump in here and correct me if I am wrong?? I am going by what I have been told by my own kiddo.

Comment by AJ on September 8, 2010 at 5:59pm: One reason that 305 did not start calling as soon is that their RDC gave them 30 minutes to shut their eyes and sleep if they could (he told them to call it prayer time). I asked him what he chose for his 'sugar / energy treat' and he said they didn't get that. Who knows ... maybe it is still coming .... maybe some shut eye was better than sugar or caffeine.

Comment by AJ on September 8, 2010 at 5:52pm: I wrote something a few minutes ago, posted it, and deleted it ... and now I am writing it again. I feel really torn about what is the right thing to do. We have some mixed information coming out of 305. LynB's son said that all passed and my son said that some did not pass and that those would be going through BS again tomorrow night and hope to be graduating on Friday. I decided that if I were out there, not receiving a call, and not knowing ...... that I would prefer that someone posted this information for me. I don't know what is right, but I asked him twice to make sure that I had heard him correctly. So, if you don't get a call tonight, keep the prayers going and the candle burning and I will do the same until we know for sure that ALL have passed.

If anyone sees this and thinks I should not have posted it, let me know right away and I will delete it.

He sounded so tired and is still sick .... and like so many others is determined not to go for help or medicine as he doesn't want to be set back.
