Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Traveling alone to PIR, looking for others who are too!

JJ - most everyone wore pants and a nice or t-shirt. there were a few dresses and of course the wives and gfs well.... I saw some really cute (i would not wear) outfits. Id say the majority of all our PIR N4Ms wore nice jeans or slacks and t shirts.... comfey shoes tooo - you will walk a good way from parking through check in and to the auditorium.....

OMG I am so excited!!! We leave from San Diego tomrrow to see our boy! I wonder if he knows how nuts crazy excited we are! Any thoughts on what to wear? I was just going to go with a casual nice dress and a jacket as i see it can get chilly!

My call didn't come until around 2:30 pm, central time, so be patient...sometimes it takes a little longer, but THEY WILL COME!

Stacie - Im just a visitor here but - my call after BS came late in the afternoon - 4:30ish... Many came earlier tho - I think my sons div was among the last to call... I was sitting on my cell phone all morning and all afternoon finally early evening it came! only got 5 minutes but it was wonderful....

Good afternoon ladies! Prayers going up for those already traveling and prayers for you anxious ones waiting for calls. I've just read what I missed this morning and am heading back out for two more errands, but will be back on around 3 EST to check in and see how many are Hoo-yahing!
