Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

diannep - I had too much to drink that night ahahah cant remember everyone but I knew them when I actually met them... I remember - back row 2nd from left is Richsmom (black and green shirt)- next to her CKH - Swank pointing the finger... then in the gray shirt was PA2sons then me in bright blue - of course very back row was Craig in yellow shirt Dave in Black shirt... then front 2nd from left red head is Shan, Kelly59 facing her, and oh heck I cant remember! dang it - sorry

Just a little reminder but you all probably are way ahead of unorganized last minute me. Remember that they removed their batteries from their phones for shipping? Well, charging up the phone without the battery does little good. Thank goodness I took one more look in the box and saw the battery still in there!

Here was a tiny part of our Meet N Greet- I hope you all are going to yours - It was just the best reunion for all of us. Im the crazy one on the far right with the bright blue shirt which said: I love my crazy friends hahahah

Hi to All! My son PIRd last thursday - 818 Spec Ops Div..... Im sooo re-living my excitement and anticipation with yall! You will love the ceremony -- be sure and put your camera strap around your wrist - I dropped mine under the bleachers!!! Hey I posted my little story up in yalls forum - click View All and look for PIR 09 -02 and Grand n Go....

Hey it was hot as the hinges and rained during his grad day and cold the next... be prepared!

My son was GnG - I put some about that in my story.... hope it helps --- HOOOOOOOOOOYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Thanks AJ. Yes, I thought having experienced all this stuff myself, It would not be as hard for me. But the truth of the matter is, when you are a mother... you can be a freak real easy! lol
