GM Storm Mom -- your post was so moving and wonderful to read. How doubly proud you must be of your daughter.

I did the same thing in my last card and letter to my son -- saying that I wanted to be the first to congratulate him for being a Sailor in the United States Navy. I hoped that it might still get delivered today or tomorrow.

All the best to your daughter tonight.

Im SOOOOOOOO excited for you all!!! It seems like just yesterday I was driving to work with my blue candle lit (yes I said driving..LOL) and waiting on my call.
This call will get to be a long one so enjoy! Congratulations to them all and wish you all a safe journey!!!

I have stayed home for days on end, so not to lose a signal. After the first few weeks, I began writing and mailing everyday, I kept a pad and paper with ongoing notes and conversations 24/7. I was getting frequent letters back, more than I expected, but none for the last week and a half.
The funny thing is, I know this routine, I have been there. Some things have changed in 25 years, like seeing it from the side of a parent (thank God for this group!), I have been on a journey I can't even express in words, but let me tell you, there are NO WORDS to express what its like for a mother and daughter to share the journey of the United States Navy. I have always been proud of my service, although reserve, but when this mom gets to "pass" her cover, WOW! What an honor! I am so blessed to be able to share this journey with each and everyone of you. I know that BS will go well tonight, I hope I don't have to wait too long for that call tomorrow- but late enough I'm not landing when it comes, and I can't wait to meet you all and see my girl. The last letter I sent her, she should just be getting, I told her I wanted to be the first to welcome her to the United States Navy. Well done sailor, well done.

Good Morning Ladies - WE ARE ALMOST THERE!!! HOOYAH! Congrats on all the calls.

Wouldn't it be awesome if ALL the Divisions had EVERY recruit make it through BS? Be sure to ask your Sailor when they call and post it. I'm thinking it's going to happen. =) Good luck to 307, 308 & 819 tonight. Finish her off recruits with style. =)

Okay, now to spazz out. 47 HOURS! I think my cheeks are gonna hurt by the time this is all done. Can't stop smiling. I'm even making airplane wings and flying around the kitchen. My family is convinced I've lost it. LOL....

Safe travel to all of you and please, if you see me at graduation, give a shout out. I'm probably going to be very distracted, I get that way in crowds. I want to give you all a hug in person and a thanks for the support you've given me. This Navy family ROCKS!!!! (((HUG)))

So I don't know how much time I'll have today to chat, but I'll stop back in as much as I can.

Can't wait to hear about all the New Sailor calls! Patience is critical, so hang in there. LOL... I know, impossible.

Have a great day!!!

M got to stay on the phone about 30 minutes. They are very tired so if he doesn't sound so excited it is understandable, they've been up since 6am yesterday and can't sleep until tonight.
