Okay- I've been pretty busy today at work. Finally got all of my "to-do's" done.
Had to sort loads of personal files, and file papers, and remove files, alphabetize files etc etc etc. I'm about sick of files! Then picked up 6 computer monitors, delivered shirts, then FINALLY got to kick back for a little bit and enjoy some of the awesome food at the Employee Appreciation Day on the Island:) They had a Navy band playing I believe, ha, how neat! But now i'm back at the office, writing my boyfriend since I finally have down time. Then I have to hurry home, shower, pick my hairstylists daughter up, and go to a modeling class. WOOOOW. When is my day gonna slow down? Maybe i'll be able to skip out of work a tad early and get home to get a shower, it's hot, and humid today.
Mary- Glad you got a good computer now! Congrats to Morgan again:)
Donna- That's so neat that your dtr is crossing the equator!!! MEGA cool. Ironic, cause it will be HOT as Hades there!! Haha.
Iris- I'm sure the skyping with Fred will go well, hopefully anyways.
You have a right in every aspect to have a little red flag for his past.
That's not too bad, Mary. As far as the Grad date for Morgan.
If you ladies could keep G in your prayers tomorrow, for his final PFA that will be phenomenal!(:
Nicole ..... Good luck for BattleStations for G! He'll do great.
Iris ..... that name was so funny .... no offense taken here. I now get that you need a good name that will also have some snappy tag lines. I'll see if I can come up with anything ...... imagining though that it helps to be inspired to be around the girls and the bouts.
So what's this about Fred cheating on Haley? Did I miss something huge here? What the heck happened? Do you mind repeating?
Thank you ladiess!!:) My bf is said to go through BS21 next Wednesday is when it begins:D
mrs B, so sorry for your loss. it's nice that you've made sure to protect your dad even though you're hurting. i'm thinking and praying for you! p.s. the diaper cakes are really cute! good job!
iris..no offense taken. those were pretty funny! so, your trip to hawaii will be here before you know it..... how exciting is that?! you and nicole have travel plans coming up....i'm jealous! won't be heading to norfolk until sept or oct. that seems like an eternity away. anyhow, let us know how your skype with fred goes.
donna....i know you must be so excited to hear from her! dyl's said cranking in port is a lot easier than out to sea. he'll do his starting nov i think and wrap it up in Feb. Thank goodness they'll be in port for that.
aj, you always have such good advice! you're a smart cookie and we are very fortunate to have you as a sounding board! always love to read your posts here and on fb!
mary, a kid's gonna do what a kid's gonna do. if morgan has outgrown hs, then she really does need to move on. just sitting around being bored does nothing for them. dyl's is like dereck in that he discourages his little brother from joining the navy....actually dyl's discourages any military forces at this point. i don't know why.....weird. anyhow, morgan sounds like she's pretty smart and can probably go on to school with a full scholarship (if she's all ap classes and does well on the ACT/SAT, there shouldn't be any probs with scholarships). she could always go get the degree first and then join the service as an officer (if she's still interested at that point). she's already has almost a full year of credits behind her so why not go ahead and finish? a lot can happen between now and when she gets out of the service so i say go for the degree/scholarships first. dyl's would have loved to go in as an officer but it just didn't work out with the NROTC. anyhow, all you can do is help her find her way and support her in whatever decision she makes because if she feels it was YOUR decision and things don't work out, she'll resent it.
yeah....raising kids is tough! but gotta love the little rugrats!
gotta run for now..... tts.......rsl
Thanks Ladies... I just try to not think about it too much and just go on with life.
will stop in later and write more to each of you...about to eat dinner and watch AGT. :)
