Help! I know this topic has already been covered, but I have no idea what kind of clothes to bring for him. I had to move after he left and, of course, I got rid of the wrong clothes. Did your sailors want to wear the same type of clothes as they did before they left? He was the type to wear black t-shirts and those really baggy jeans with the knees ripped out (god help me). No sweat pants, shorts, or any dress clothes--ever! Also, just read they need phone cards to call home--he never mentioned that, probably due financial issues. I'm guessing it must be true since I've only talked to him twice since he left. Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

Good Morning everyone, I am back from Pensacola. We had a great time with our Sailor. I wanted to thank all of you who ordered ribbons. I know you will wear them with so much pride. I am so excited for all of you and I hope you have a great PIR weekend. I will be lighting my candle each night for BS and keep all your sailors and future sailors in my prayers. Travel safely and have fun :)

Morning everyone. I guess it must be contagious because I didn't sleep well either. Was wide awake and bushy tailed at 3am. So much to do today. I can't wait to get the phone call today!

Morning Ladies! Well they are through BS and now it's just the excruciating wait for the call. I'm sure they all did great! Hang in there, it will come. I also didn't sleep well. I think we are all suffering from anticipation or something. I keep thinking and thinking and thinking. Turn off that brain! Lol...

Can't wait to hear how all your Sailors did. Safe travel for those heading out today.

Lots to do yet, so I'll be on and off today.

HOOYAH!!!!! BRAVO ZULU 303, 304 & 943!

Zachsmom...where are you driving from ?
Comment by zachsmom*USS Curtis WIlbur on September 7, 2010 at 9:23am
Didn't sleep either. Kept waking up "thinking". I'm leaving tomorrow evening (driving). I can't wait!!! Congrats to all the ladies that get calls today! I'm so happy for you. My son has BS tonight. Another night with little sleep. I better take a nap before I start driving. Although I'm sure I will be running on pure Adreneline!
Comment by Donna-Amanda's mom on September 7, 2010 at 9:14am
It seems no one slept last night including me. I even got cancelled for work today so up early anyway. I have dreamt about my daughter for a solid week now and not getting much sleep. It's almost over and we will see them all. Tomorrow night BS for my daughter and I head for Great Lakes. Hoooo Yahhhhhh!!!!!
