Sandra: I don't know who told you that you can take your rental car and leave it in the parking lot the night before? They must be speaking of a parking lot OUTSIDE of the base as you are not allowed on the base until PIR. I would be afraid to do that (and there is no shuttle to take back to your hotel until PIR morning).
What hotel are you staying in? If they have shuttle service, try to be on the first one going out (ask when you check in if they have a list...or do people just show up...ours had a list).

d o: I hope that she is on the list as it is now too late for her to be added. HOWEVER, I feel sure that she will get in...maybe because of her age, they will go ahead and let her in with you all rather than making her wait with all others? Not sure on that, but maybe? Make sure she has her ID!

MrsB: The shuttles are able to go AROUND the line of cars....so not sure what you heard is correct (we took the shuttle and it was wonderful!). We left our hotel at 6:30 (our PIR had 9 divisions in it---yours has 10), arrived at the front gate at 6:40, were the second people to be searched at the front gate (first people were on our shuttle) and were in the PIR Hall by 7 a.m. It is a matter of personal choice on whether to take the shuttle or not. But it was the dead of winter when we went, and we were advised by friends who went the same time a year earlier to take the shuttle rather than waiting in the car line. There are pros and cons to doing either. I would take the shuttle again for sure!
The longer walk is not by much at all.
For those who drive, you need to be in line by 6:15 at latest. Not sure where that forms...I know they don't allow it by the front gate and actually turned some people away who were there too early (another reason for the shuttle!). But you all have 10 divisions, which is a good number of people. I would not wait until 6:30 to be driving there. I think you may have a line by then.

Ha Iris - great minds think alike! How are you feeling?

I think there will be a whole lot of us here then, Tea. Six o'clock my time... CANNOT WAIT! How did that Navy game end up, by the way?

d o - look to the right of your screen - there should be a box that says "Badge" and a link that says "Get Badge" Click on that and follow the directions to make a nametag for the Meet and Greet.

d_o - If you look to the right side of the page (you may have to scroll down) but in that strip under N4M Merchandise is the "Badge" square. At the bottom right is a clickable "Get Badge". That's the badge and you can print from that page. Hope that helps.

Badge reminder... Did you all print your badge? Also, if I could recommend that you don't change your avatar picture - just use what we've been looking at for the last 8 + weeks! Also, it doesn't have to be fancy - just print it and pin it, okay? I think it will make it much easier to know who is who on Thursday.
