A new digital camera Hurley .... way fun .... you will take so many more pictures with one .... and it will be fun to see your pics!  Gotta love humble pie ...... but aren't you smart to go with the question/compliment!  Go girl.  I was told once that to have a happy and healthy relationship, the wife/woman needs to frequently find ways to use the sentence ..... "Oh honey, you are so SMART" ...... and the husband/man needs to find ways to use the sentence .... "Oh honey, you are so BEAUTIFUL".  Ha!  Wish it were that simple.  But it does work in a pinch.

Okay, so I am going to offer my thoughts about your decision with respect to Morgan.  Before I do though, I know that you guys will find the best path for her on your own, and I feel confident that her internal compass is working really well to aid in the process.  She does seem to have a very good and mature head on her shoulders .... very smart .... knows what she wants .... high in confidence and self-esteem ..... already doesn't feel like she'll miss anything by skipping high school drama ..... my guess is that she will feel totally bored and that she will feel like she is wasting time to take the normal path through high school.  I know it is hard to make such a decision and you don't want to look back with regret or doubts.  If this is something that she really wants to do, and is seeking ways herself to do it, then I would probably let her fly with those wings that are ready to soar.  You have bright kids and skipping out on the whole remaining high school thing, doesn't seem to weigh in as mightily as making her choices in her timing.  It will be extremely empowering to her to do it her way, to be a challenger, to step out of the box.  I applaud her courage and independence to do it her way and no one else's.  Then, on the other hand, I know that this means that you will have her leaving home just that much sooner and that it will be incredibly hard ...... but it will only mean that you prepared her with the best to be her best and that she is shining bright.  If timing isn't an issue with how fast she builds up credits, I would have her work at it (so she is still engaged and challenged), but maybe not to the point that she already has 20 credits of college by the time she leaves (unless this is what she wants to do, but it doesn't sound like it since she brought up having the AF pay for college).  This way, she can work at something, but still have time next year to enjoy the year with friends.  It's good that she wants to seek her school counselor's guidance ..... are they good counselors?  Will they give her guidance that is suitable for Morgan and not the school system?  I did not have good experiences with my boys and guidance counselors .... always seemed like they had another agenda.  That's my two cents worth, and probably about all it's worth!  Good luck with the decision and the process.  I've got a feeling she is going to amaze us all!  :)

Thanks all for the happy dances! And Mary, my gastro has a pretty good sense of humor, I mean he would have to with all he looks and talks about and all! I'll ask for a DVD, hehe. Your D is so smart! Such a good way to get his education! Good for Megan, talking to the AF. She's smart to do it all now.she should join ROTC in HS. I know you rank up because of prior service from it.

Ok, so I just told my husband I want a digital camera. He said he was buying one but I said it was a crappy one he was buying. Ok, I take blame and ate some pie, yummy humble pie. So today I said, hey I'm getting a digital camera, what was the one you liked? Makes him feel good... Hehe. I told him I felt left out without posting picture on my n4ms. I want to play in all the reindeer games!

Mary- Alot of people say "you're gonna miss your senior year" but really, weighing pros and cons i came out with one con. and many pros.

PROS:

-getting paid 4x what any high school student is making at their part time job

-getting education payed for and probably being a good amount through college with training that will take most half their life time to learn.

-seeing the world, for free.

-making new friends everywhere

CONS:

-not seeing all of your friends from high school for awhile.

..that was my deal breaker right there. I can live without seeing those people because most of them will hit dead ends in life anyways, and have 0 ambition.

I'll make new friends along with all of the other pros, Have her do a pros and cons if she is really weighing it.

wow!  i was a couple pages back....you're chatty cathy's!   and that's a compliment!

hurley, so glad your test came back clear!  whoot!  whoot!  now you can go PARRRRRTY!!  hee hee!  have a drink for me!   i wished i had seen the ship come in too but my duty called (work) and i had to be there....boooo!  something weird about this thing work....if i don't show up, i don't get paid.....what's up with that?  ha!

nicole, i'm getting so excited for you!  PIR will be here before you know it and you'll get to wear that awesome dress!  shoes?  accessories?  what are we doing in those categories?

Donna, hope you hear something from A soon.  it is soooo depressing when you don't hear from them!   it's so cool though that she'll be a shellback. when did they cross?   dyl's said he was gonna get a tatoo of a turtle with the date.  ummm, really?   i don't know....i suppose it's ok.....

iris, glad the boy has another set of wheels.  it's a honda so it should last and 1200 is a pretty good price isn't it?   well, at least if something happens to it, your not just sick about it.

mary, you better get some stuff on that nose....and make sure it isn't brown!  ha!  how did the air force meeting go?  sounds like d is making tracks on what he needs to accomplish.  did you say he'll be on hold for a year?  that's a tough one but i'm sure he's just think one less year to be out in the fleet and he can take it easy.   believe it or not, dyl's said he likes being out in the fleet and learning his job.  he has several guys in his shop that is his age and they all hang out together.  dyl's said that when they went to spain, they hit the bars and the nudey beaches (topless).  omg!   he said they had an absolute ball!  i'm glad for him but geeeez!  thank goodness most of the girls/women talked in a foreign lanuage and he couldn't talk to them!  lol!

so for all you peeps who are getting the rain, please ship some my way!  my lawn is getting way crispy.  i think we're on day 27 or 28 of 100+ degrees and not much rain.  it's sooooo hot!!  ugh!   hurry up fall!

gotta run for now gals...... talk to ya'll soon!
