On marching in for PIR, just know that once they reach the full length of the hall, they turn and CHANGE FORMATION! All bets are off then in spotting your recruit. SO hopefully you will spot them as they walk by the first time. If you do, you will have a chance to "follow them" with the formation change (they combine their lines once they round the corner).

Michelle - I printed my "get badge" up and if I actually make in time to join you guys - I'll have it on. It will be the wrinkled paper with the blurry picture, with the words "Iris Div. 301" written in black sharpie. Fancy, I know. Don't Hate.

Yes, Cyndi, I do see you and D in yours but I called it an avatar because different people have different things and it just seemed simpler. But you know, whatever that little picture is that comes up next to everyone's comments.

Mrs. B - He's correct. Your job is to have a beautiful, healthy baby and anyways, you already have a job. You are a domestic diva and soon to be mom. That isn't an easy thing to do well, so don't sell yourself short. =)

Yes, I'm fudging the time, but I can't help it. I'm wound tighter than a 6 year old sitting before the Christmas Tree full of presents asking if I can just open ONE present. Lol.. I did that you know, every year, and still doing it. =)

Diedresmom - You are so correct! My son already knows this thank goodness from his dad doing weddings and seeing guys go down in middle of ceremony! If you lock your knees and have to stand for a long period of time, you'll eventually go down!

LOL, Iris, aren't we ALL funny how we count our days...and delete days even when there are still a few hours left in them??!!! Haha...But since I don't have to travel, I have to keep Thursday on the calendar. I wish I had to travel...it would help the time fly faster! I've been working on my online wedding album (Creative Memories) and then sleeping...haha...sometimes I wish I had a job...but my hubby doesn't want me to work right now...says it's his job...isn't he sweet?

Thanks Deidresmom! After singing in a choir for about 8 years of my life, I experienced that too, watching people fall...and me doing it myself. Good thought and suggestion!!! :)

Cyndi - I'm not counting today, it's almost done and Thursday I'm on an air-o-plane heading to Great Lakes, IL, so you really can't count that either. LOL... =)

Hi everyone! my daughter deidre graduated 9/2 WOO HOO but I felt i should prepare you for something that was a little disturbing to me at the Graduation, pleasure tell your recruits DO NOT lock thier knees, so many did and colapsed on the deck of the hall. I'm not trying to worry anyone but i watched 2 sailors 1 behind and 1 on the side of my daughter go down and my heart sank for thier families, but both are doing well!

I have not heard anything yet from D....will ask him when he calls to say " Im a Sailor" call. I know the divisions all have a little sign up like 301, 302 and a sailor stands by each sign . I will be the one in front of 303 bawling like a baby !!
