Am I missing something here? What is this about a special presentation about 9/11? I'm SO curious!! and happy...because I was hoping they'd do something to remember that day.

Ladies, here is one of my stories about "not PIRing" on time. There seem to always be some in each PIR group who have not made their run time when it comes to BStations time. Of course, moms panic (as would I!) when the recruit calls home saying no PIR for me. But, they get to try every 48 hours to make that run. One girl finally made it the thurs before her PIR. So she did BStations that night with the next PIR group ....didn't know a soul but whatever....her mom got the call late afternoon on Thurs that she had made the run and was heading into BStations. Poor mom and dad had to THROW their clothes into the car and drive the 6 hours to be there. Good for THEM! Next morning, there she was .... in the balcony for PIR, with her uniform on....a sailor. Tired and of course they are not allowed to march in PIR after being up all night...but she DID IT! I was literally jumping up and down for them since I had been corresponding with the mom since this first happened....so so proud of her! Sooo.....prayers and hope for michellehurst's son!

Yes, they've made it this far, they can do it!

Thanks Michelle - I saw the news and wanted to reach out so badly and rally the troops for them. So prayers for ALL of our recruits that are needing to call forth all the strength, courage, determination, and grit they have within them in this critical home stretch. They have mighty, mighty hearts and CAN DO THIS.

Check out the discussions above, Sandra. I believe there is one with picture details.

AJ - Michelle isn't the only one going through this right now. If there are others out there that have received the call, there is still hope as they can pass the PFA and go on to BS with a later division.

Thanks Iris - I'm sitting here refreshing every minute to watch for input. I certainly don't want to upset hurstmichelle ..... but will trust that the extra prayers and well wishes for her son will give him an extra boost of support to make this happen yet! I'm with you ..... the glass is half full .......... so let's all cheer for her son (and family!) to be there with us next Friday! You can do it! We believe in you!

Hi Nicole - Still nothing here. Glad you have a distraction. I'm not getting anything done and I don't seem to care.

AJ - I'd leave the post up. It just shows that sometimes the information we get isn't always correct and that there is hope, when it's not something we want to hear. I'm the glass half full person, so that's how I see it.
