Morning Ladies-
Hurley - That stinks! =( Nothing like falling apart. Shesh! Hope they can get everything figured out and your body back to functioning normally. Sending you strong derby girl vibes, to kick whatever's making you ill, ass! Lol....
Someone asked if I was bouting. Not yet. I'm getting stronger and better so I expect to be told I need to move up to the intermediate level in the next few months. There I'll be working on minimum skills. Once I pass that and scrimmage for three months then I'm bout eligible. One step at a time. =)
AJ - so good to have you back. Sounds like you enjoyed your company. Now recover. Lol..... You mentioned a cup of tea (and a stiff drink, but I'll let that go for another day's topic). My favorite is The Republic of Tea Honey Ginseng. Mmmmmm.... What's yours? Any other tea heads out there? I'd love to try more great teas.
Well Haley was late so we rescheduled cause I had to go to derby practice. In the brief time we chatted, she said she was doing great. She's happy, work is better, life is GOOD! I can't wait to see her in September and she is so looking forward to seeing us. I feel so bad for all of you that don't get to chat with your kids regularly. Makes me tear up thinking of how you miss them. I certainly hope each of you hear from your sailors soon and even better, get to see them soon.
I'm trying to talk my husband into going to a bout (Emerald City Roller's vs. Slaughter County's All Stars) Saturday night. Poor guy. I think he might be regretting telling me about derby. Lol..... Can we say OCD boys and girls.
Well, I need to make the most of my day off from derby. I'm covered in bruises, sore as hell, and my calves are starting to look freakin' amazing. Lol... Oh and did I mention my tush is lifting. Miracles do happen. Wishing you all RSL, lazy afternoons, cool summer breezes, sound of children laughing, and all the warm memories dear to your hearts.
So..this is just an idea, I don't know if you guys would be interested at all, it's something my cousin and i used to do when we were little, because we only saw eachotherr once a year.
The idea of it was to get a bunch of people together and get a notebook.
One notebook for everyone. Then one person writes a funny story/memory/note in it, then mails it off to the next person, and so on and so forth, then it eventually becomes a giant book of jokes, stories, memories etc!
AJ!!! I have enough clumsiness for everyone to go around, no need to have your own! LOL. I appreciate the information on my belly, you ladies are my go to gals for advice and support! kinda like a ton of other moms ! haha. no offense taken:)
not much time, just a quick break at the office, ill do fulll resposes later, our boss taught us(keep in mind im an administative assistant) to wire things, and feed wires through ceilings and all that jazz, it's pretty neat! another girl and i got it done and it was very DIY(do it yourself). Only 12 days left!! woooooo! this coming wednesday is our 5 months of being together! he's talking promise rings, so we'll see what happens with that, but if one ends up on my finger, NOT ENGAGEMENT! i'll post a photo, im sure it will be pretty, he knows what i like:P
Good morning! I love how we keep becoming stronger and tighter friends over this year .... that's pretty special given the 'virtualness' (I know that isn't a word!) of our being together. We have chosen to stay together .... and I just think that is pretty awesome! I think our friendships have been forged in the Navy (and Coast Guard) spirits of courage, integrity, honor, etc. ..... the brutality of letting our children go to the government/military together ....the humor that has risen in the face of frustration, sadness, uncertainty .... and the support that we have each been given and offered. What a dynamic group of women! Kudos to us!! And I agree Mary, so thankful for all of you. And no, I won't ever, ever, ever not check in again!
I have to laugh at myself for my clumsiness. Last night, I was laying on the bed playing a game of solitaire on my cell phone and decided I wanted to hop up and turn on the fan. I attempted to kind of hop or spring up off the bed and was much closer to the edge than I thought .... and, well ...... I fell off the bed, ass first on the floor. I bet it would have qualified for one of the funniest video clips. My head hit the night stand and I have a good sized knot and such tenderness .... my elbow hit something on the way down .... but oh me oh my does my bum ache. I hit it in the area of my left hip. For some reason when we bought this bed, we thought it would be cool to have this elevated one that sits over 36 inches off the floor .... and there is only tile flooring ..... I feel like I'm 80 this morning. Already made a trip to the chiropractor here (whom I adore) .... so going to take it easy today. Guess I'm getting old, not quite as agile, and way more clumsy ..... thank goodness there is no video!
Mwah, Mwah, Mwah, Mwah, Mwah, Mwah, Mwah, Mwah, Mwah ... that would be kisses to Mary, Corie, Hurley, Iris, Shelly, Donna, Hurley, Courtney, Nicole and more Mwah's to anyone I've forgotten in my brain damaged post fall state. Since this makes Courtney, Nicole and I all falling very recently, please the rest of you keep your balance, slow down, and be careful .... no more falls!
Wow, I can't believe its been a year since our friends and family swore in to the Navy. Congratulations to all the accomplishments that have been made. A lot has happened this year, there have been ups and down, good things and bad things. I hope that everyone is doing well? I will try to get on later to talk to everyone.
Miss everyone and am very great full for all the friends I have made along the way.
please forgive the spelling errors! :)
