Morning, morning, morning!!!
Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday.
So VD has backed off. Haley didn't talk with him specifically about him liking her, but apparently he's not obtuse and got the hint. He came by while we were skyping last night to get some tea and she said things felt back to normal. Other than that, she's enjoying Hawaii and her job still.
Cody, his girlfriend Katie and my husband and I all went to Portland on Sunday. We went to Saturday Market first. Cold!!! So we kind of breezed through it. Then we went to Powells Books. It's this ginormous book store. She was thrilled. She'd never been there before and this was very exciting to her. After that we stopped in at World Market and then Barnes and Nobles. Then it was off to See's for some bordeau and Krispy Creme for donuts. Yeah, not the best day for the diet. Lol.... Saturday was of course the Tulip Festival and I got some nice shots of the flowers. I still like the Iris Festival better. The flowers are just more interesting and arranged better. Anyhoo.... I managed to get some laundry done yesterday and worked on my pictures. I'm finishing up the laundry today, going to my DAR meeting (Daughter's of the American Revolution), then watching a online seminar about "chemobrain and it's lasting effects". While out on Saturday I picked up some stuff for my Army guy in Afganistan. I need to send him a care package along with his letter this week. I still need to pick up a few more things, but should be able to do that later today.
Mrs. B - Oh that is so wonderful. I'm happy things are working out for you and Paul. Keep in touch. A few of us have you on FB but pop over here now and again and keep the rest up to date. We'll miss you.
Mary - Awwww....that's very sweet. Hugs to you. Thanks about the flower pics. They do the hard part, looking pretty. =)
AJ - hope all is going well in Costa Rica for you. I'm so, so, so, sorry you missed your sons call. That stinks! At least he tried. Slim silver lining, but sometimes you have to stretch it to make it okay. Hugs, hon. This has been a rough road and I hope it gets easier and better for you.
Nicole - What up?! Only 7 more months. Woo Hoo.... Got those general orders down? Lol....
Lyn - Do you need me to send you some of our rain. Last month we had rain for 30 straight days. We were thinking we were going to need an ark. Sheesh! Sorry things are so dry for you guys. Extreme's suck.
Hurley - Really? Tulips don't grown everywhere? I'm shocked. They seem so hardy that I thought everyone had them. Well, I'm glad you can enjoy them this way. =)
Well, I need to get to that "to do" list and workout, shower and get off to my meeting.
Enjoy your day everyone. RSL!
Hi Ladies,
Well, GOOD NEWS! Paul gets out on Wednesday; he had an interview today at Fry's Electronics and is getting his second interview tomorrow and then he has another interview tomorrow too, at Starbucks! I also got an interview at Starbucks, but Paul decided to cancel that and let me stay at home to take care of TJ and I"m going to study to be a Doula. (Birth assistant). Anyways...he had to talk to the chaplain today about some things...I will tell you about it more when he's out. But over all, everything is REALLY good! His 20th birthday is today. So yeah...God is good; he's faithful and hasn't let us down.
Some military wives are sending me 5 boxes of clothes for TJ and our church friends provided about $300 worth of food for us, just gave it to us, and then another friend brought us 96 diapers for TJ and a cute little outfit for him!!! Ahhh, life is turning around and getting much, MUCH better.
Trust me ladies, I still love our troops, support them and I'm going to miss being a military wife, but I WILL still be a military wife...because my husband will be a Vet. :) God bless each one of you and those who are serving. I hope to stay in touch with all of you. This has been an emotional journey for all of us, and I feel like we're family in a way.
Blessings!!! :)
I want to wait until June, because I want to still have quality time with my boyfriend, before he leaves and all, but I need to have gas money, I hate always having to ask for it from family and having him insist on filling it just so he doesn't have to worry about me running out and breaking down somewhere. It sucks because I know I need one, but it will suck to have one. I am going to be on Paula Sands Live the 19th for modeling, so i'm incredibly excited about that!!
Have a great monday ladies!
Iris, I hope all goes well with beridding Haley of this puppydog follower. :/
Sounds like she's got a handful, hiding in side rooms? Oh my. :/
Update on me- looking for jobs, looking for jobs and some more looking for jobs. Spending time with my boyfriend and helping my best friend cope with losing her boyfriend of 10 months for unknown reasons. Hope everyone is doing well, sorry this is so short and wide spread lately, been busy with all these water works from her, and juggling school, boyfriend, dad on crutches, grandma needing house work, rebuilding my aunts retaining wall, and looking for jobs. SDJFJASIOJFPISJOJA!!! CRAZYNESS!!
