For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

lol... was it this group that had a post the other day about someone needs to write their recruit a "you better write your momma" letter? That made me laugh so hard - and yes, I can write to your guys! No problem! But let's give them a chance first to save face!

All but one of the recruits I write to are all men. Guess who told us about those "guys" not getting letters? Yep, other "guys" - who asked their moms/gf's/wives to get other N4M moms to write to that poor recruit. So.... those young teenager type boys you shipped off to bc are becoming men, men who care about others - it's a nice shock, you will love the transformation by PIR day!!!

maureen: Oh, he will hand it out - trust me on that one. Those kids change quickly in there, and when they see a fellow shipmate hurting after mail call each and every night, they will JUMP for the opportunity to brighten that guys day up. Even if it's a guy they don't like, they will do it. Seriously!!!
