Lynn Ship 09 Div 303 - you are only 1 hr. away from me in Brunswick when you arrive in Savannah. Have fun and if you run out of things to do you can always come to St. Simon's or Jekyll!

How many people do we have in here that have loved ones in Ship 9 Div 302? So far my husband is the only known guy in a group of really pretty ladies! Haha

I know I'll probably remind you guys of this later, but there are no "tickets" to PIR. If your name is on your recruits' list, you get to go in. Kids 12 & under do not need to be listed (and shouldn't - because it will use up their abilty to invite adults), kids can just come (have birth cert with you). Normally, there is space available in the Hall for any extras that come (those not on the list), however until the Navy posts how many divisions will be in this PIR group, it's hard to know right now, so please don't bank on it! Worst case is, the extra's wait at the hotel and then they still have the rest of the day/weekend to visit with your new sailor!

It's funny, N4M lets you upload a profile pic immediately, but it can take a day for them to approve photos you put on your profile page. Personally, I think they should make us wait for the profile pics too. It's really important to adhere to the rules of this site, especially the main discussion on the opening page about "Loose Lips Sink Ships". My son called me yesterday and told me he got his verbal orders (he is still in A-School at Corry Station in Pensacola). He told me the country he will be going to, but couldn't tell me when he was going or what city he would arrive to. And if he is allowed to share that with me later, I can't share it with anyone else until after he arrives. I understand all this, but it's so different - he's the first to join the service in our family, that includes cousins too. But both his grandpa's were Navy men!
