My advice - DON'T buy refundable tickets! They are sometimes $300 - $500 more costly. It's actually much cheaper to buy normal or even bargain tickets, and if you do need to change your plans (or even cancel them), the change fee is $100 or less - you have still saved money!!! If you cancel, you have credit with that airline for one year. When you go to use your credit, they will deduct the change fee from your credit and you just pay the difference for a new flight (if any).

Why is is that men in general hate failure no matter what the circumstances behind it??

Jerry - sorry don't mean to "bash" your species.

He didn't even know it was a test or that he didn't pass. It was funny. My husband was a little more worried about it. I didn't take him last week because, well, you guys know.... So my husband is SURE that if he'd been there last week he would have passed.

Michelle - and since when is "enthusiasm" a BAD thing? Poor little guy, was he bummed?

jmy37mom - what are your feelings about "nonrefundable" airline tickets. They seem awful expensive.

It has been quite the day! I do have some sad news to report. My Luke? Did not pass his karate test to move on to Advanced Pee Wee. He was, in the words of his Sensei, too enthusiastic.

jmy37mom - I would try and arrive at the airport no later than 2pm. Earlier is always better though. I know most motels won't let you check in til 3, but if the room is ready, they always let you in early.

Other groups: I am glad you guys have started other groups, but got to tell you - a PIR group is the best way to go. I know this will come as a shock to some of you - but there are actually moms out there that have NO IDEA that N4M is on the internet, so we are the cream of the crop - and this may be as big as you get. The smaller the group, the less input, support, laughs, etc. Please keep those division groups you started, but please stay involved in this PIR group. Just my two cents - and I'd like those pennies back when you are through because I am broke!

I should have known as I followed the entire post, but you can tell where my mind goes based on a little pregnancy surprise back in 2007.....

LOL - yeah I guess I should have been a little clearer with that post. "missed period at the end of a sentence".

At least this blog is NEVER boring!!

LMAO - I love this group!

Deborah! I read that and was like, what? They get punished for a missed period? Like an unplanned pregnancy isn't punishment enough????

Clearly I'm losing my mind.
