Good morning, Jessica! I think that is what Sobe was talking about... A point person here to deal with the Ramada.

Did you say that your group did nametags? As in just plain stickers or whatever?

I feel like a post hog. Sorry my posts are so long. I'm such a rambler. Sorry guys!

Hi Mary! We knew you'd be over soon.

Welcome Mountain Mom! Did you get your box and letter on the same day? I got the box yesterday and am hoping for my letter today... We'll see. For the record, my husband was outraged at me calling it "kid in a box". He thought that was creepy. Good luck with your final. I know I've had a really hard time focusing on anything except N4M for the last week.

Can you believe it was just ONE WEEK AGO that most of our kids arrived at boot camp? It seems like months ago. Part of that is from missing him and part of it is because I just feel like I've been chatting with some of you forever. Weird.

Lynn, good luck on your presentation tonight! I'm sure you'll do great. I know with me I always think I'm not ready... And then they usually go better than I think. What are you going to school for?

Phone cards... I have no idea. I have stamps to send in today's letter and was going to run out and get a phone card as well.

Good morning, Kim! How are things today?

Maureen, I am still in awe of you helping with a water heater. My little kids wait till Dad gets home to ask for batteries to be changed. I am the LEAST mechanically inclined person on the planet. As for the Ramada, Maureen, if you WANT to do it, that would be great. If you'd rather someone else, that's fine, too. Just let me know and I'll be happy to either leave it in your hands, help you, or ask someone else. You can message me directly if you want! I think we're going to stay at the Ramada, too.

Thanks, Hoppi! That is exactly the answer I was hoping to read here. I am so glad that he can't just "change his mind" or whatever which was kind of my fear. I had a cousin that went in last year and she lasted less than a week. Her story was she changed her mind and they let her go home. We weren't ever convinced that we had the whole story, but it's just been on my mind, so thanks, Hoppi!

Okay, now on to the rest of the thread to get caught up. Looks like we have lots of new friends this morning!

Morning All.....I havent forgotten anyone. Had to help friends replace a water heater last night and got home late and this morning, have to go get allergy shots.
Sobe, I did volunteer to be the Ramada's contact person but if anyone else wanted to do it, that was okay too.
So glad to hear that everyone is getting their letters and boxes. I am going to call the ramada this morning and reserve a few rooms ( we have a big family).
Will get back on here a little later on. Hugs to all

Ok - what does anyone know about phone cards. I know nothing about them but purchased one and mailed it a couple of days ago. The posts on here say to activate them before sending them. The instructions on the back of the card said how to place a call using it, but there was nothing about activation procedures. I asked the lady at the register that checked me out at Wal-Mart. She said when she ran it through her register that it activated it... What do you all know about phone cards?

I am in classes too, Mountain Mom. I know exactly how you feel. I have a presentation tonight that I have not focused enough on. Welcome to our group! We're glad you're here with us.

Hi everyone I just joined your group. Today I got my form letter and the kid in the box. My son said that boot camp is different to say the least, but he will be fine. It is hard to believe he is only a week in, it seems like forever. I have a final on friday in my Respiratory class, focusing has been a challenge, please keep me in your prayers~

Oh my, Sobe....I was just checking in one last time before heading to bed, and this is the perfect way to end the day...the prayer. And on that note, I will bid all you wonderful ladies a good night and will catch you tomorrow.
