Just got home and DID NOT get the letter today....that is ok though, maybe tomorrow. The "kid in a box" will hold me for another day or two. LOL We are gonna start looking for plane tickets as soon as the letter arrives. I heard on another thread where the mom saw who was signed up to come to graduation when she got her letter. Is this true from you guys who got your letters?

Good Afternoon Ladies!! Had a lot of reading to do to catch up today.

Maureen - if David has 1/2 as much support as we do in this blog then he'll be just fine. Look at what a mess we were the first few days!!

Since everyone is sharing, I am an Executive Assistant for a major construction firm here in California and have worked there for 23 years. My 19 year old step daughter is currently in BC, I have a 23 year old step son and a 17 year old son of my own from a previous marriage (he's currently living with his father. . . long story) I don't get to check in with you all as much as I would like to, but still enjoy being a part of this - it actually has helped me relax during all this!!

That's funny, Julie. We seem to be the last place he comes. Sometimes it is even after 5. Weird.

Cyndi, one more question and than I'll stop pestering you... DId Devyn get to GL on July 15?

Mailmen can be bribed! You could leave cookies out for him or maybe a beer or a bottle?
Not sure if I've shared this yet with this group, but my ex son-in-law is our mailman and I convinced him to change his route so that I would get my mail by 9:30am instead of after 1pm. It worked, I was late to my office every Thursday for 6 weeks straight!!! I would not leave the house on a Thursday until after the mail came. One day he was running late and I almost knocked him out with the screen door - I wanted that letter!!!!

Oh my gosh! That's an awesome note! My box came today but another California mom got hers yesterday so I'm hoping against hope that maybe my letter will come today, too. Our mailman hasn't been here yet. I feel like he is hiding from me.

That's great, Cyndi! Is she happy then? Or was she when she wrote that? Did your box come yesterday?

I know we shouldnt send any musical cards, nothing mushy, no writing on the outside of the envelopes, no newspapers, I know im forgetting some things.
Ill be back later on all.....try not to go crazy so I have a kazillion pages to read lol. Going to stop at post office so I can send off letters to David !!
BTW, David is 20 yrs old. He'd been working at Fed Ex for the last two years since HS Graduation. His plans are to start college, get his Psychology degree and then turn officer. Thats the plan as of NOW !! lol
