Kim - I used to be a FB addict (I play FarmVille), but my farm has been neglected for quite some time since N4M took over my life!!!

Pins: You will see a lot of other PIR groups who want to do something special for there "Meet & Greet". The M&G is hosted by the Ramada Inn (where I stayed) and is free for anyone, whether they stay there or not. They cater to Navy families. It's always held the evening before PIR, from 6-8 pm. There is food and drink, and if you stay there you get one or two free drink coupons (stronger than cola drinks!). They REALLY appreciate it if one person in a PIR group acts as the lead on this. You call them and say you are the contact person and they ask you to post an event (right side of N4M page) and then people go to that event and mark if they are coming or not. Then you give Ramada an approx head count a few days before. There are lots of families who are not on N4M who will go because of the flyer that comes with the form letter, but Ramada knows that. Hope this helps!

I agree with Deborah....we are there for the kids....we can suck it up for a little time with the exes to make for a good day for them....it is their day!

Michelle~My stomach is growling like crazy, and I need to find some dinner, but can't draw myself away from you guys....This is more addictive than my facebook!

Maureen~I have been stalking the NavyForDads site as well a bit and found a cool order form for t-shirts with their flag design on them. If anyone would be interested, just drop me a private note with your e-mail and I will send you the form I found.

Michelle~As a newly divorced mom (9 months) I have some concerns, especially since ex and I have been on the very best of terms until last week when he decided this is a good time to cut the ties (WTF...now?). I know we are both going to be attending graduation along with our new significant others, so guess we will just have to make the best of it. Realize now that if Adam is truly grad and go then we might even have to put on our big girl/boy panties and spend the time, all of us together to get the most "bang for our buck." Boyfriend was looking over my shoulder already asking "so, what are the ladies up to today?" LOL

Confession... breakfast dishes are still not done and I need to start dinner. What is the matter with me??? Not to mention all my work that needs to be done. Oh and my two little sons who this week have been exposed to Sponge Bob AND Lucky Charms. I was ready to do anything to buy computer time. But really, this is getting ridiculous. I am embarassed.

Welcome Cyndi! I say if Sobe and Jessica say it, it must be true.

Oh yes, Deborah, I hear you. I think I will tell Greg the same thing. His dad claims he went to Greg's HS graduation but Greg didn't see him. Whatever. This is why, ladies, you do not meet a 31 year old man in Kmart when you are 17 and marry him. PSA over.

Maureen - I've seen a little of that, too. I think if we can find a crafty mom on our board, then she can design and make little ribbons or buttons for us? One group had sashes, I think. Any ideas? I am so not crafty just typing the word makes my hands itch.

Hey Deborah, I just noticed that we are both in California, too. No box here yet. Although I heard it comes Fed Ex and it's still early enough here it could show up.
