Mrs. B - I'm a truck lovin kind of girl too!! Get down and dirty but clean up pretty!
Don't feel like a failure, you've fought through every little battle they threw at you and never stepped down. You fought it until it was right then took on the next one, you're a wonderful woman, and a role model at it's best. A gerat mother and dedicated wife! Never look down on yourself for the little things that couldn't be changed, but look upon yourself for the things accomplished.
Hi Ladies! Well, we still don't know anything. The CO has been out of town for the past week, so we haven't heard anything about the discharge. We still have some sort of option to stay in, but it's really complicated and I don't understand any of the conditions and neither does my husband. He told me it's so confusing and he's not sure what is what. So I'm pretty sure we're just choosing to go with what the doctors suggested to the CO and just get out. It's disappointing to both of us in a way, because we really wanted to complete this, even though I cried and fussed all the time and he was frustrated and depressed all the time. But oh well. On to new and "better" things. Ughhh, wish I were the model military wife. I feel like a failure!!!! :(
You go Nicole! LOL! Sounds sorta like me, except I'm a little more on the aggressive side...this one guy at my husband's work that talked with me told my husband later that "wow, you've got a woman on her hands that won't back down and gets things done." Hahaha...yup, that's me. If something isn't right, I'll make it right...
But I can be a bit of a "guy" too, when it comes to trucks and doing boyish things....ahhhh! Gotta love it!
Hahah, not terrorizing boys, just showing them what i'm really made of :)
& LOL Mary!
Good Morning Ladies.
DO - Lol! Yes and she rubs it in anytime she can like the adorable little brat she is, but I can't blame her. Hawaii weather - drool. =) No pics of the two-lips, too much rain so they were hiding. Maybe next weekend.
AJ - Glad communication's are back up. I doubt you'll catch hell for telling us what River City is cause I found it on the internet. So that is all it takes to loose weigh. Unbelievably high amounts of stress. What if you are a stress eater? Lol.... wouldn't that be a disaster? Hang in there sweets. Lets just hope we get out of these wars soon.
Mary - Don't you just want to smack em when they rub in what lovely weather they are having? Brats! Lol....... I'm so soggy hear I squish when I walk.
Lyn - Rhino Sex Education. The things we learn from each other. Lol... Glad your daughter is doing what she loves. Great pic of your son. Sounds like life is going really well for you and yours. =)))
Nicole - Welcome back! So you head to Texas and start intimidating the local males. Lol... nice. I'm not surprised. Very cool you had fun. Sunburn.... sigh.... have you learned nothing grasshopper. You are not invincible, must use sunscreen to keep that lovely skin looking beautiful. I bet your BF enjoyed his surprise (you). That's fun and cool. Yes, don't join another PIR - we'll follow along with you for his boot camp time. We are survivors and will be able to talk you through all the ups and downs. Plus we'd just miss you and your bada$$ ways. =)
Mrs B. - So so so soooooo... glad things have finally worked out for you. You sound more at peace than you have in a while. Sounds like you have a great plan and will be happy. Don't be a complete stranger - come visit us sometimes here. =) Hugs to you, TJ & Paul.
Well I had a pretty good weekend. Saturday the hubbster and I got in a clean up mood and started sifting through stuff and making a "to go" pile in the basement. I need to go get some boxes today so I can continue. It feels so good to get rid of things we don't use or need. Sunday I went to the meet with my sister Rose. She's my best friend as well as my sister. I'm very fortunate to have two very wonderful sisters. Anyhow, we dinked around. Checked out the Wooden shoe Tulip Farm gift shop and avoided the rain showers as best we could. Then we spied a sign for a barn sale - it was okay. Then we drove around visiting while searching for a place to eat. We went into downtown first and spied a Mexican Bakery & Pizzeria, so we went in. Did I mention my sister Rose has a main of light blond hair? Well, to say the least she drew some stares. Too many to be comfortable hanging about, so we grabbed a crescent looking role, which was very good, and a coco to split and headed back into another section of town to see if we could find something more suitable for lunch. We ended up at an Elmers. Man there coffee is lousy. But the grilled cheese, clam chowder and fresh melons were good. We had a very leisurely lunch and then we both headed back to our homes. It's nice to have a little girl time. Anyhoo... the rest of the afternoon I spent dinking around town with the better half and then I made cobb salad for dinner and we watched a movie. Oh I almost forgot. We saw this moving for sale and had to get it. Sharktopus. Yep, it was as horrible as it sounds. Cult classic at it's best. This director makes a bunch of those types of movies. My husband and I think they are a hoot. So if you are looking for a really bad movie, try that one. =)
Well, I need to go work out. Kind of got off schedule this morning. Hope you all have a lovely Monday.
Hi Ladies! I am really trying to keep up with everyone's comments here on this site, but seem to be falling behind! :( So sorry!
Anyways, one of you asked if the discharge my husband should be getting would allow him to re enlist at a later date. Yes, most likely. We don't have his DD2214 form in hand yet, but once we do, we'll know for sure. They have even given him the option for staying in; he has to let them know tomorrow, but he feels that right now, he needs to get out. And he thinks that the "option" is really just formality, because the CO/XO told him they had to discharge him due to the physical injury he has; that they were sorry and hoped the best for him. He is still getting a LOT of benefits, including VA benefits, medical for the rest of his life, and something else...oh yeah, disability from the Navy since his injury happened while at work, on duty. They told us we'll get anywhere from 20%-70% disability from them for the rest of his life! WOW.... My parents ask "so this is where all our tax dollars go?!" LOL...yup. Anyways, We're not complaining and it's really for the best. We have our hearts really set on going back to Bible College and moving to Dallas where he has a brother and my parents are about 2 hours away. My baby son will have his grandparents and I'll have a host of friends down there.. and so does my hubby! So it's all going to work out beautifully. It's stressful to say the least, because I really didn't think we'd get discharged at all...but, low and behold, we are.
I will try to keep all of you updated! Many Blessings~
ALRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'M BACK:)
spring break is over:( (that means back to school tomorrow, the boyfriend is cheering though, he missed me!)
So, I went down to south padre island texas, daddy gave me access to the truck!!!
So I was drivin around, shopping and such, and some guy had the nerve to say "you're a girl, why are you driving a truck" man did i want to rip him to shreds.!!!!!
Anyways, we went to the beach, and layed out for 3 hours, I usually never burn, but morning sun is hotter, and I forgot that, so I was FRIED. 2nd degree burns, maybe 3rd in some places. Had to call my doctor and have her call in a perscription for me and my dad, my entire back was fried, his entire front was. So she called us down some stuff, and now it's gone and i'm peeling like crazy!
Spent the entire day yesterday with my boyfriend, Surprised him at work:D
Told him I was still in Missouri & he was HIGHLY surprised. I felt accomplished!
Then spent all day today with him and went out to eat with my Grandma & Him. Spending every free minute together until he leaves in June. So i'll be going to his graduation :D
As much as I liked C, I like G(Gaige) ALOT more. Much sweeter. Opens car doors, holds doors for me, takes me out on dates, and I try to take him out on dates, he rarely lets me pay...but whatever..someday i'll succeed!
But I don't know that i'll join that PIR group, I like you guys too much to leave this one! I couldn't keep up with both!!
Lol.
I went deep sea fishing down in Texas, one of 3 girls on the boat, imagine the looks i got for that one!
I caught the first Shark on the ship. A Lemon head, or lemon shark!
It was about 4 1/2 feet. had to be 5 foot to keep but man was it neater than hell!!!!
That's my update!!:)
