The Pentagon issued this statement that all military in Japan are accounted for.

I have not heard from Aaron, but others on the ship have indicated that they are okay and that they stand ready to assist in the humanitarian effort required.

Check this out. Doesn't look like Hawaii had anything significant. Just hype on the tv.

Just had a report on the news that Hawaii just had an earthquake. Trying to find out more. What's going on in the Pacific?

Morning Ladies -

Thank you for all the prayers and good thoughts. Haley called last night at 0130 am to let me know they were on tsunami alert. Reports this morning is that Oahu got 3 foot waves. So things look good. Haley is stationed in the center of Oahu in Wahiawa, which is on a hill.  So she was as safe as she could be. I also heard the fleet is fine. AJ have you heard from your son? Japan on the other hand is a horrible mess. I feel so sad for them. Has anyone heard about those stationed in Japan?  They are reporting entire towns along the coast have been destroyed. So, so sad. 200 confirmed dead so far in Japan. Thousands missing. A passenger train with 200 - 300 on board is missing and a boat with 100 was washed away. This is just horrible. 8.9 for five minutes. Crazy.

My heart goes out to all that have friends and family in Japan. I hope they are safe.

And Iris, just reading that tsunami warnings are issued all the way up to Alaska, including Oregon .... let us know that all is well with you, with Haley .... as you can.

Now I know why I couldn't go to sleep and why I felt so tearful as I tossed and turned in bed.  No more sleep here.

My son is in those tsunami Pacific waters .... 30 plus foot tall waves ... OMG .... I pray he is safe .... Iris ..... sirens in Honolulu ...... I pray for Haley's safety as well .... and Travis ..... and any and all ships, Sailors, Marines, and civilians in Japan, Hawaii, all Pacific islands .... and whatever threat there may be for California.

Oh God, please calm the seas and calm my heart.
