I'm glad to hear that you had a good experience finally. I know you were due for one.  Can you tell me how you hooked up w/ a chaplain?  My sailor is in an isolated section in SD and says they've hear rumors of a chapel, but never actually seen it, and no one else seems to know.

ok, so you ladies know that i've had some struggles with chiefs and officers in the Navy, so much so that my husband is trying to take measures to get out of the Navy. Anyways, today, his MC and Chaplain helped him get some things started to get an honorable discharge due to some other personal things I don't want to talk about. Anyways, his MC was REALLY nice (first time in my experience in the Navy) and he is working with both of us to make our experience in the Navy better, including giving him his duty day off today!!!! :)  So that's my good news for the day. We may or may not get out of the Navy, but for now, they're just going to try to make life easier on us.

Hahaha. My boyfriend is a nuke!!

He doesn't know how to dress right either!

He's wearing short sleeves---ITS COLD NOW!

haha, its always a fun thing to do it as a family. though NONE of my family will box with me, my boyfriend is probably going to sign up because he has a goal of losing like 30 more pounds i think he said? and boxing would get it done before he leaves. even though i tried and tried to convince him he's perfectly fine the way he is, he wants to do it, so i'll support him, and it may be fun to beat the crap out of eachother :P

anyways, another day of school....anddddd my dep meeting..."oh joy!" is that how its supposed to go?because it usually ends up with chief "you didn't f*****g fill this out so and so" "you need to shave your f*****g scraggly beard" "you're 5 f*****g pounds over, what'd you do eat a cow?!"

YEP.. THATS CHIEF FOR YA!

haha, Nicole, I'm not even sure I know what that is! I'm going to look it up...not to sound dumb, but the only thing I"ve done is push-ups, sit ups, running, jogging and yeah, I'm a farm girl, so lots of heavy duty farm work. :)  Thanks so much for the suggestions! :)

Try taking up cardio kickboxing. I promise you it will put you RIGHT back into shape. I know tons of women who do it, it's alot of fun, and you don't realize at all that you're working out, andtit teaches self defence, which never hurts to know.

Hi Ladies! I have a weird question...lol

So, I had TJ about 4 months ago and I lost a TON of weight right after I had him. I mean, I was skinny!!!! (Like a LOT less than I was before I got preggers). Then this past month, I just started gaining weight again...and am about 8 lbs over what I was before I got pregnant. I really am trying to loose weight, and be skinny again, but seem to just not succeed. (After all I am married to a Navy man and I kinda want to be in shape for him...since he loves going running, etc, LOL) So here is my question for all you ladies who have had babies! What did you do when you had a baby and tried to loose weight afterwards? Did you do anything specific that helped you?

Thanks so much! Hope I'm not offending anyone by asking this... I just really want to get into shape and need some ideas!

Thanks d o!

It will strengthen me, however, i'm doubting(fingers crossed!) that the needles wont be THAT big!!!

that sounds absolutely delicious!

Nicole you are strong and brave and a good citizen to donate blood.  Glad to hear you had a good time @ the dance.  Sorry about the bruise, but I think it will help toughen you up for BC.  There's a lot of needles there I hear.

My favorite ice cream shop, the one I ride 40 miles to go to just opened up a store here in town. It's called Pure Magic Ice Cream. They make it fresh right in front of you, adding the extra flavors you want into the cream and then freeze it with nitrogen.  I'm in heaven:D
