Sadies was so much fun! The boyfriend met daddy dearest & daddy loves him...enough to take us out to dinner next week? guess so!

i'm meeting HIS mom today hopefully so im all dressy and my hair is done all nice. First impressions are the ones that stick!

I've begun a "picture wall" with pictures of alllllll my friends and i, and family and i. it's looking really neat!

I also found out my recruiter who JUST got here in January will most likely been leaving us soon. They have had a rise in needing reservists and it was 2 to 1 now its 3 to 1 and only one recruiter, so i'm moving up to chief, who will be leaving in 6 months, then we're possibly getting my recruiter back, though unlikely. & getting a chief from the davenport dep. good lord almighty. 3 recruiters before i even enlist?!?!? sheesh!

Getting my windshield fixed this week, but my aunt is in san diego for government work, shes out by coronado. So i get to use her truck alllllll week!:D

oh the excitement!

& Definitely not. I mean, I love the aspect of putting towards saving lives. Especially when it's got a possibility of going to a cancer patient, that's what I love the most. My mom had breast cancer and passed when i was 3, so i'm all about finding things to do to help. Even though it scares me I am trying to convince myself in a few months to donate double reds. which is rather than 1 pint of blood, 2 pints. It saves more lifes.

Good Morning Ladies -

Mary - Yay for the solution to the roof. Ack! Still $3500 is a chunck of change. Hope the weather now cooperates with you once they have it torn off. =)

AJ - BEAUTIFUL pics! OMG - I so want to live there or somewhere like that. My only concern is the big bugs, especially spiders. They freak the hell out of me. Shudder.....  How can you even come back and be satisfied with were you live now after such paradise? Anyhow, I hope you are feeling better and everything is going well for you. You know the drill, sunshine, rainbows and lollipops baby!

Nicole - OUCH! Don't do that. I agree, you are probably not a candidate to donate on a regular basis. Leave that to all of us that have garden hose sized veins. Have fun at Sadies. Yee Hawwww......

My wonderful husband kidnapped me Friday night and took me to this beautiful B&B for a night out. We had dinner at the restaurant there and then had a few cocktails in the room as we sat in the jacuzzi and watched "How stuff is made." Lol... we are so romantic. Haley went shark diving last weekend and had a blast. This weekend she was going to go back to the country bar with her friend Bailey and do some line dancing. She is settling in nicely but is anxious to see Travis in about a week. She's skyping with him today after we skype. Cody is going tubing with my sister next weekend so I'm grabbing train tickets so he can just ride up on the train and back. He hasn't had a lot of freeway practice and I don't think he's ready to drive in Portland. So he'll go up on Saturday and come back on Monday. I'm letting him skip a day, but his grades are very good, so no big. Audrey the kitten goes in on Tuesday to be spayed. After she heals, we are going to hit the integration hard. She's doing better, but she can't be separated forever from the others.

Well, not much else is happening here. Our weather is suppose to go back to normal (Rain) today. It's been in the teens at night the last few nights. That's cold. Brrrr.....

Have a great Sunday everyone. Hugs and more Hugs to you all. =))

My daughter will be a GM.

Hey girls - when she said 7-month deployment, I thought maybe they could be the same.  All the best to her on the Reagan.  And of course to your 'other son' too Mary.

And Mary, I ordered my flag!   :)

AJ, I think your son is on the Boxer or Nimitz that  just left. She will be on the Reagan that is already out there. She will just join them there.

Hey proud navy mom! It's great to hear your update. Congratulations on your daughter's graduation. I'm wondering if she is going to the same ship my son is on .... they just this week began a 7-month deployment. It is wonderful to hear that you both are so excited. Thanks for coming on and letting us know .... and do come back as you have news you want to share. If your daughter is on my son's ship, we have a private and secure Facebook page if you are interested. Private message me if that is the case. Again, congratulations for you both!

Thanks Mary for the Blue Star Flag group ... will definitely check that out.

Nicole - sorry sweetie that it was such a difficult experience to give blood. Hope you have a great time at the dance .... assuming it is tonight.

I never post on this board but wanted everyone to know. My daughters orders were finally posted as she graduates A school on 3/11. She is grad n go to San Diego where she will get processed in and then flown out to her ship for deployment for 7 months. We are both extremely excited. Now her navy life really begins. Am happy to read  about each and everyone's sons/daughters and their journeys. Keep up the good job Nicole and Iris am really happy to hear that you are doing so great. Just wanted to share my news with someone.

It's not so much the passing out even, it just hurt so stinkin bad, because my veins are like..ULTRA tender, so shoving a not thin needle in......doesn't make them happy with me!!
Comment by AJ on February 25, 2011 at 6:32pm

I hear you Mary .... on all counts.

So, here are a couple of pictures for you guys for today.  The first one was the recent full moon rising over the Central Valley and San Jose ..... and one of those times when the photo does not do the beauty justice .... but you get the feel .... the second one is a sunset looking toward the Pacific with a balsa tree ..... the third is just a common pretty flower that grow everywhere here ... and lastly, the fourth is a very cool picture of the Boxer (in opposite order here).  Enjoy and have a great weekend.

Mary, I agree with AJ, I don't think your clients would have a problem paying at least 50. A happy medium, because you do a great job, go over time, and have finances to deal with. It's worth a shot, can always lower them if it fails!

Meanwhile, today I donated blood for the first time at the school blood drive. I'm scared of doctors needles, not piercing needles, doctors needles. So I agreed to donate, to save lives, and hopefully get over my fear. I went in to donate and layed down on the table, then told the lady, I am scared, please be gentle. She agreed & was very nice. She stuck the needle in (which if you havent donated blood, isn't the smallest needle!!!!!) I cried, and 2 seconds later stopped, I think it was the initial shock, it was weird. It took about 10 minutes and I donated a pint of whole blood(meaning they filter for plasma, platelets & red blood cells). I got finished up and sat up, I felt fine, no dizzyness or anything, so I got up, walked to the table and had some snacks and chatted with friends. I finally decided after about an hour and a half of sitting there I would go back to the last part of class. I got up to go have my pass signed, got it signed, then two seconds later, passed out about 10 feet from the gym where I donated. My grandma then thought it would be a FABULOUS idea to ask "ya gonna donate again?!"WHAT DO YOUUUUU THINK GRANDMA!!!? Heck no! It hurt, and I passed out! No way jose! Anyways, I have the wonderful bruise on my inner elbow, which I will show off nicely during Sadies tomorrow night!!!

gotta go get ready, me and the boyfriend are going out:)
