Hi all!  it's been a little bit but here i am!   nothing too exciting going on here.  Yogi is still keeping me hopping...he's such a stinker!  dyl's thinks he might finish up his a school the end of the month and then he'll wait for orders.  i can't wait to see what he gets.

Iris, loved the pics of your daughter!  she does look happy!  of course, who wouldn't be happy knowing you were on your way to Hawaii!  wish it were me!

DO, sounds like your son is having a blast too!  i sure miss the skiing from when i lived in colorado.  all this snow makes me feel like i am there!  ha!   most of it's melted...now it's just the slushy mess and nasty cars left.  yuck!

Mary, i bet Dereck is soooo ready to class up!   he doesn't seem to be the type that likes being non-productive for a long period of time.  Probably needs a challenge fairly often.  That's how dyl's gets......   so the recruit that dyl's brought on while he was waiting for BC PIR'd this weekend.  He's also the brother of my youngest sons friend....does that make sense?  anyhow, he's going Nuke too so i hope he does ok.  Actually my youngest son had two friends with sibling that PIR's this weekend..... weird!   you would think Oklahoma would be more Air Force based since we have Tinker out here......who knows.

Mrs. B...  what a cute little baby!   Take lots of pictures because it will seem like he's grown up in a flash!

Nicole, glad things are going great for you!  you still have a little while before BC, right?  I think you're the same age as my youngest son.  If he decided to go Navy, maybe you'll be at BC together..... that would be cool!

OK...gonna run for now.   Hope everyone has a great week!

Iris it's good to hear from you again. Thank you for those beautiful pictures and the good reports.  Your daughter is lovely.  You were so over due for this visit.

My sailor hurt his knee and foot this past week.  He's on light duty now-no PT.  I can't believe how much it's effecting me to not be able to mother him and even though I'm not much of a cook, I want to take him food.

When I tried to call him, he said, "only text Mom".  I couldn't believe it.  He "text" me and said everyone could hear everything when he talked.  So apparently texting is the only way to privacy now.  Give me a break!  I texted back- are you ever alone?  He's been snowboarding up in Big Bear, playing volleyball on the beach, and playing Xbox whenever he feels like it.  No wonder his knee hurts!

So then I go to the mailbox, and he has sent a letter home full of money for my birthday last month (his dad had bought the gift for him).  He sent way more than was spent and said if we need anything to let him know.  He's so sweet, I just want to squeeze him, but apparently I can't "talk" to him.  I'm not sure I like the sound byte generation rules.  I miss him so much this week.

My foster son (the Reserves petty officer) has bought the ring, and set the date!  He and his fiance, and my husband all went to a marriage seminar this weekend.  The guy who wrote the book, Sexual Intimacy in Marriage was the key note speaker.  It was really good, and extremely weird to go there with your kids.  It was good premarital training for them.  Hey we might have a good Valentines too;)

Congratulations on your anniversary Iris!

Good Morning Ladies!

Well Haley is in Hawaii. I got a "I made it" call last night and she said it was gorgeous! Lol... She actually sounded kind of surprised. Anyhow, she was unpacking in her enormous room with a microwave and 1/2 size refrigerator and then she was going to make her bed and hit the rack. She also has access to a community kitchen so now she can cook. That was her biggest complaint about Pensacola, is not being able to have "real" food.

Got some pictures of her.

We had fun. He confidence is much better. I attribute that to being fit and Travis.

I have adopted an Army soldier through the adopt a platoon site. I will be writing to him weekly and sending him monthly care packages. I figured that would help me with my daughter withdrawal. Although it isn't as bad as when she first went in, so I'm making progress. My biggest thing now is to pull of my chemo flubber before May. I'm going to start this diet called Cinch. It's basically eliminating processed foods and sugar. I have a 5 day cleanse starting Sunday. Next week I also have my genetic testing, oncologist appt and my port flush. It's also my Anniversary (15 years), Valentines Day, Meet Anniversary (yes, I still keep track... don't know why) and my husbands birthday. I think it's going to be a busy week. Lol....

So how is everyone. I still need to read the posts and get caught up. It's starting to feel like spring here. Shocker, I know. I think it's just a tease and we will soon succumb to the crappy weather again. I have my husband on board to move in 2 years. yahoo!!!!  Cody and I are talking more and I'm happy about that. He went through a brief stage which I was starting to become the enemy. I set him straight and ever since, it's been really good. I think seeing Haley helped him too. She is the one person whom he talks too the most. It has been a tough 6 months for him with Haley leaving and me being diagnosed with colon cancer. I think now that I'm done and he's seen Haley, he's happier.

Anyhoo... Cody got his girlfriend and very pretty necklace from the airport for Valentine's day. I need to get some cards and gift before Sunday. So that being said, I need to get this show on the road. Exercise, shower and then shopping. Lol... sounds like a rough day.

Hugs and sunshine to you all. =) Chat with you soon.

Hi Ladies,

Just a quick hello. I've missed you all but I'm having a blast with my daughter. We have one more day then I have to say adieu to her till sometime in May when we head to Hawaii for a visit.

Travis has been delayed until March 4th, but Haley is taking that time to get more fit and get a tan. She cracks me up. She was able to skype with him this weekend. Haley has been seeing lots of friends and we've been dinking around, sleeping in and just enjoying our time together. I believe she's ready though to be off to her next adventure. We went through all her boxes in storage and elliminated most of them. She only has 2 1/2 boxes in storage now. Lol... she was funny. She was appalled by what she had put as "save". I will be shipping her two boxes once she has an address in Hawaii.

Tomorrow we are going to play around with a photo shoot, so ought to be lots of fun.

Hope everyone is doing well and I'll get caught up probably Friday. I'll have more time on my hands once she is gone (boo hoo.. but happy that she's enjoying living her life).

Anyhoo.... Big smiles and hugs to you all.

What a cutie!

HOPEFULLY MARY...FINGERS CROSSED!

Recent Picture of TJ! :) He's getting SO big!!!! Not sure how much he weighs yet. We still haven't gotten him into the pediatrician here in CA yet. But we're planning on making an appointment tomorrow.

My hubby has off tomorrow due to the Super Bowl, because his ship said they didn't want to risk DUI's...so they gave everyone the day off. Besides, he gets NEXT Monday off due to Presidents day, then the week of the 21st they have off due to a reason I can't talk about...but the whole ship is off! YAY! (just hoping my hubby doesn't have duty then. LOL)

Alright, there's all my news for now. Life is busy. Because of my hubby's parents who hate us, he was never able to get his license (they didn't help him do a thing...even dropped him off at a boarding school for 6 years without ever seeing him and only calling him a few times...they didn't even come to our wedding or give us a wedding present, or anything. Sad...) so now that he's in the Navy, he was able to get his license! He took me driving tonight! YAY! No more driving for me. I've driven way too much lately...lol.

Hey all!  finally getting some melting here....the roads are slushy and yuck but at least you can get around somewhat.  they say there is a storm or two heading this direction over the next week....oh what fun!  Lyn, glad you're not in that mess.   you kid sure has had issues with lost paperwork.  i'm sure he is so frustrated!  dyl's said they messed up his paperwork at meps and contracted him lower than he was supposed to be.  when they called his chief, his chief told him to go ahead and sign and that he would make it "all good".  yeah, right....never happened.   you would think that when the kids are getting involved in something that encourages honesty and integritiy, that wouldn't have to worry about them.   well, lesson learned i guess.

ok...no more negativity!  just gets me going.....

mary, can you send red silk boxers along with a camera to take the pic when he pulls them out of the box?  that's funny!

so my youngest was out of school all of last week.  he was sick monday and the schools were closed the rest of the week.  makes me want to go back to high school..... well..... almost!  ha!

i don't know what happened to my sweet little puppy but he's turned into the tazmanian devil!  omg!  he wants to chew on everything!  i hate to think about all the chewies and toys i've bought and he still likes to chew on my feet, hands, ears, etc.   gosh i'll be glad when he grows out of this stage!  my hands can't take much more!  ha!

ok...gotta go get ready to watch the superbowl.  guess i'll root for the packers but i really don't care for either team.  i'm so sad to see football season end.....i know, i know....I don't sound normal,do i?  lol!
