WOO HOO! Not only did I wake up to an e-mail from my daughter but she actually CALLED me while I was reading it. Said she can't wait to get to some cold weather but she started cranking today. She is working in the galley about 12hr shifts. She said the food is disgusting and it never changes from week to week. Wants to send me the money to drive her car to her in SD for homecoming. I will just fly home. So great to hear her voice. Despite it all says she still LOVES the Navy.
Iris- Happy Birthday to you!!! Celebrating 2 days in a row. Until I turned 50 we used to celebrate for a week at a time. Gotta make up for those years you won't be able to. LOL
Mary- Sorry you weren't able to send the pictures of graduation. Would love to have seen them.
Nicole- Keep up the good work. Soon it will be your turn.
Mrs. B- Hope things continue to turn for the better for you guys.
AJ- Did you ever hear anything else from Aaron? Did he have appendicitis?
Talk to all later. Hope you hear from your Sailors.
Happy Memorial Day to all!
Happy Birthday Iris!
good job nicole! keep up the good work on the grades! keep us posted on the bf...
Donna...how awful about your brothers! that's one of the reasons that it's taken me so long to let the hubby have a motorcycle. not so much that he's a bad driver but people just don't see motorcycles sometimes. my SIL has a brother in California who's been in a coma for years after his accident. it's kind of scary. we'll just have to be super careful...i don't really plan on any cross country trips.
mary! go get that phone! make it an iphone so you can always access n4m's! ha! lol on the assless chaps! that cracks me up!
aj...no word from aaron recently? let us know when you do! just like bootcamp, hearing from anyone's kids was almost as good as hearing from your own!
AJ, My daughter is 23. She has a twin sister and they are as different as night and day. My youngest brother died in his 20's. He was on the back of a motorcycle and a truck turned right in front of them and stopped. Needless to say the driver and him died. My older younger brother was just fine. My dad went to breakfast one morning, came home and found him dead in the bathroom. He has a triple AAA (aortic abdominal aneurysm). He was 40. He was only 1yr 3days younger than me. It's been a long time now.
Yes, I get up every morning and head straight to the computer for an e-mail but nothing. That is totally her though. She will text her fingers off but no phone calls or e-mails. Yep, Amanda has been deployed about that long also. She left the first part of March. Would love to hear what she did at the ports she got to visit.
Hope everyone continues to have a safe, wonderful Memorial Weekend and gets to hear from their Sailors.

Shelly! A new motorcycle after 22 years .... he must be smiling. And yes, you should get some Harley gear ..... and again we want pictures of these alter personalities coming to light! Chaps and tats will merely be next, but don't overlook the wisely chosen places for body piercings. Dyl's won't recognize you guys when he comes home.
