OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

It is so strange. To go from being the most important time consuming part of your day, hoping and wishing all there dreams come true, to finding the strength to let them go so those dreams can happen. I'm proud and overwhelmed. I am happy he seems to understand. When he was younger he use to wear my army basic training unit shirt so he bought me his div. Shirt and sweatshirt. The things we go threw as mom's that you could never be prepared for.

That's awesome shanesmama:)! I just dropped my son off at the base. Last visit with him today. It was a great weekend with him but now I'm feeling a bit empty knowing I'm not going to see him in a long time. I am excited for his future though and very proud. He's just sooooo young!

It's so strange going from no contact to weekly letters and calls ( we got spoiled with hour long calls the last two weeks ) then spending the weekend with him. And talking texting, nightly again. Our son talked to us for over an hour and his brother and wished them a good night for the first time in months. Warms my heart having all my boys together (at least over the phone) again. II am do proud of the boys I have and am raising.

They're all Sailors now!!  A warm feeling wells up in my heart when I see our men and women serviing our country.  May they each be blessed abundantly as they move down their  journeys!!!  GO NAVY!!!

My husband & I just returned from San Antonio. After watching all the new Air Force grads with their families on the Riverwalk, I wondered how outrageous New navy grad families were doing. Today, as we walked thru the Atlanta airport, we saw some of "our boys" moving proudly through. It was like a parting of the sea. I wish I'd have time to have introduced myself & got names. But they made us proud & I just wanted to let you know even on their first trip...the respect has already been shown! May God bless all our SR as they sail ahead!!

girl64,

The only sure way to find out who was selling the t-shirts at the Meet & Greet is to just give Sarge a call to ask.  I think I know, but don't want to steer you wrong.  847-212-0246
