While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. Comment by cristyg on September 20, 2012 at 6:55pm: Received a letter today from my daughter no mention of battlestations, only said she had her final test Thursday ( which is today). She is in division 946. Can't wait to see her. She sounds so much better. She also gave me a check list to bring to graduation, she knows I forget stuff. Lol. She told me not to mail her straightner when I mailed her make up but it is already in the mail, I hope she doesn't get in trouble.... Now I am going to be worried sick over that I guess.

The Blog has some answers to a few faq's that get asked on this site...but at the very bottom is the link to RTC's page with all of the info for servicemambers.
