Welcome to PIR 09/28/2012!

OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Navymassmom, I am going to have to ask you to copy and paste your below comment removing the date of BS and your phone number please. OPSEC and N4Ms does not allow those things to be posted in a public forum.

No worries just copy and paste the message please and remove the original post

Our letter mentioned BS's but no specific date provided. He is in 946.

Received a letter today from my daughter no mention of battlestations, only said she had her final test Thursday ( which is today). She is in division 946. Can't wait to see her. She sounds so much better. She also gave me a check list to bring to graduation, she knows I forget stuff. Lol. She told me not to mail her straightner when I mailed her make up but it is already in the mail, I hope she doesn't get in trouble.... Now I am going to be worried sick over that I guess.

Thank you diannep and FTLW! Great info! I'll see what my son wants to do...I'd love to get a pic of the two of them together (18 & 17 years old), in their Navy and Army uniforms, respectively. :)

Tumbleweed - Very appropriate! Here is a link to a Blog I did that has the link to RTC's webpage on Military Personnel attending PIR information. The Blog has some answers to a few faq's that get asked on this site...but at the very bottom is the link to RTC's page with all of the info for servicemambers.

Yes they do!  In fact, some if the VIPs at the ceremonies are from the other branches and in their dress uniforms.

Comment by Tumbleweed on September 20, 2012 at 3:12pm

Question...my #2 son graduated from Army Basic Training (Nat'l Guard) in July... Would it be appropriate for him to wear his Army Dress Uniform to graduation next week? Do people do that?

Comment by diannep on September 20, 2012 at 12:29pm

Here is the BattleStations link again so you know what they will be doing.

http://www.navyformoms.com/group/pir562011/forum/topics/battlestati...

At the bottom is a video to watch and a presentation by Craig with lots of info!

Comment by Dad of Sailor on September 20, 2012 at 11:17am

At this point, Battle Stations should be the only thing our SR's have left. Let's all keep them in our thoughts as they complete their final test.
