Ladies:  Has anyone received BattleStations dates from their SRs?  I'm getting lots of requests for them, but sorry....only one person has contacted me with a date.  Sooo...if you have one, please friend request/message it to me.

Thanks!

They take some pics at each PIR and then some get posted on Facebook but they don't take any and offer or sell them to families. A really good camera comes in handy. When you get there use the waiting time to take practice shots and change the settings on your camera to get the best pics. You can also try with or without the flash to see whats better. Even if you are going to video tape it still buy the DVD it is worth it.

Hello all, I could use some help. I was wondering if anyone can recommend the most inexpensive car rental place at Midway airport. I had read that ACE provides a Navy family discount but I believe they are only at O'Hare. Any suggestions?

I sent makeup to my daughter, just the basics. mark the outside of the package to show what is inside and just send it in a small flate rate Priority box. No need to spend extra for express shipping. Priority will get there in 2-3 days for less than $6.00. My Sailor actually wrote me and told me to meet her in the bathroom before PIR at 7:30 am. I waiting in that bathroom for an hour and she never came :-( Finally I left and went back to my seat and my family said, where have you been she has walked by like 10 times and you missed her. She failed to tell me there was more than one bathroom in the PIR hall. She was in one, i was in the other lol

ranaeaw, Yes, she is allowed to wear a little light makeup for PIR only.  You can mail it to her and she will have to put it away until the morning of PIR.  If you go to the restroom while waiting for PIR to start, you might even be lucky enough to catch her putting it on.  I saw many female sailors applying their makeup before the ceremony.  They are also allowed to have contact lenses for PIR day and it's a good idea to send a small bottle of solution as well.

My daughter asked in one of her recent letters to send her makeup.   Is she allowed to wear makeup at PIR.   I had planned to just bring it with us and give it to her afterward, but she has requested it be sent to her.   Does anyone know if that is okay to do?

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on September 17, 2012 at 12:05pm

They do sell the DIV shirts at PIR or at least they did when we were there. But, they have a very limited number and they go quickly.

BZ=Bravo Zulu.....not sure what more it means other than job well done.

315/316 will be last to go through BattleStations.  I have not received a date yet, but have a good idea.  Friend request/message me and I will tell you.

Two questions: My husband wrote me that he is Religious Petty Officer and Damage Control Petty officer, and that if he does well he might get a BZ at the end of basic. I know BZ is like "Well Done" but what does it mean to GET a BZ?

Two: Does anyone know when BS21 is for Ship03 Div316? If you do please message me, I'd love to know. Thanks guys!
