Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Got a letter from my son last night and he said "Dad, are you talking about me on Navy for Mom's because one of my friends got a letter from his parents and they said they were speaking to a Dad from Arizona with a son in Div 307. Is that you?"

Thought it was funny and would like to know who it is as my son and yours appear to be friends.

Unless there is another dad in here from Arizona with a son in Div 307?

Comment by diannep on August 31, 2012 at 8:19am: No, Shanna. They will not deliver mail that doesn't have a SR's name on it. But you can include this letter in with your SR's letter and ask that your SR give it to someone not receiving mail. Or better yet, ask your SR for the name of a SR not receiving mail and address it to him/her directly. They love having their names called at mail delivery time!
